シルバーマイン ビーチ リゾート (銀礦灣酒店)

深夜便で初めての宿泊、タクシーで到着したらホテルはビーチサイドで車ではいけないからここから５０メートル以上ある真っ暗な道をスールケースを持って歩けと言われ出来ないというとホテルに電話して迎えに来てもらいました。 これは、事前に知らないと困る情報でした。 ホテル自体は控えめに言っても老朽化が随所にみえますが、部屋は改装され快適なスペースでした。周囲はいい感じのローカル感が漂い、車が入れないビーチサイドを自転車タクシーが走るところはワクワクしました。 近くのフェリー乗り場からは早朝から深夜まで香港島セントラルまで就航しており、一時間に一本以上のスケジュール。穴場を見つけたうれしさと、昨夜のここで降りて歩け・・の恐怖感の両方を味わいました。旅慣れた方にお勧めです。

場所的に、香港島や九龍から離れていたので移動が少し心配でしたがバス（空港からの直通バスは、本数が少なく時間も限られていましたが、途中乗り換えをすれば10～20分間隔でありました）やフェリー(香港島まで約40-50分でほぼ一日中運行有り)による移動が意外と便利で、部屋の広さや環境の静かさを考えると十分満足いくものでした。但し、定員3人で予約しましたが部屋がシングル2ベッドの為か、アメニティ等が全て2人分しか用意されていなくつたない英語で説明して、対応してもらうのが大変でした。

快適でした。飛行機の関係で朝のんびりできなかったのが残念でした。ホテル前の工事が終われば完璧です。

別館？はカーテンだったが、窓はカーテンがなくブラインドなのが残念だった。ブラインドを閉めないと夜は外から丸見えになります。

Well, it’s started with “pool under renovation”, thereby the were no explicit mentioning about this on the website, all what you can read is “seasonal pool”, but there are no dates mentioned, so the fair assumption is it’s open. The were no spa open neither also due the renovation again without any previous notice. And this was the only reason I booked this hotel to relax for a weekend after the hard business week. If I could move I would do it but guess what it was not refundable. In my view, it’s a pure cheating. The hotel is very outdated and in the bad condition (although the room itself is just ok), also far away from everything, so that if you paying for a taxi to go for a qualitative spa and sightseeings you pay the same price as for hotel itself. On top it was a deposit taken of HKD 500 (not huge but still), which the hotel could not return upon the check out and mentioned it will be credited in ca. 4 weeks (without any interest 😊, I assume). Finally, the first thing I heard at 1.00 am by check in was “if you loose your key card we will charge you and if check out later than 11.00 am we will charge you”. But for the missing pool and spa just “oh… sorry for that “. Not even a compensation offered. Ridicules experience - never ever.

Vastaanottotiski vähän kummallisessa paikassa, sisäpihalta käynti. Huoneet ok, kunto tyydyttävä, mutta tilavat. Sänky oli hyvä. Sijainti oli mielestämme erittäin rauhallinen ja mukava, henkilökunta keskiverto mukavaa.

This is a great hotel if you want to hang out on the beach. Otherwise I suggest you to stay in the city. I

It is purely the location. It is very far out of the way and to travel back and forth between things to do takes about 40 minutes to an hour bus ride. No taxis will pick you up in the area to bring you anywhere, at least this was my experience. The staff were nice and helpful but one staff woman at the breakfast did try to pocket HK$100 from us when we paid for our meal using cash. This was very normal behavior in mainland China but I did not expect it from Hong Kong as well. Just be careful and make sure to count your money and know what people owe you back and count it in front of them.

Overall nice

Great location if you want to experience the laid back side of Hong Kong. Hotel is a bit faded, but we stayed for the location so it didn't matter.

Liked hotel room didnt like having to carry heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs no lifts.

The staff are very down to earth, friendly and supportive

The view is amazed. It is quiet during weekdays. The renovations is good.

This is a sanctuary for those who wish for solitude. On the other hand, the premise is equipped with playgrounds for kids and is within walking distance to the sandy beach. One suggestion is get a couple of adult tricycles for rookie bike riders. Thanks for a lovely time.

It is nothing like pictures. They don’t have even elevator so you have to carry your luggage through stairs. I would not recommend.
