The owners are very warmhearted.

Wir waren jetzt schon öfter im Arctic Wind und werden auch auf jeden Fall wieder kommen: Die Zimmer sind sauber, die Betten sind bequem und die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist super, wenn man zum Flughafen will oder von der blauen Lagune kommt. Die Angestellten sind super freundlich, man bekommt immer gute Tipps für Nordlichter, Unternehmungen oder auch für Erledigungen. Gerne wieder!

Clean room, easy airport access, nice staff.

Rent værelse. Fin beliggenhed, tæt på Keflavik og den Blå Lagune. Gode parkeringsmuligheder.

Very clean and comfortable

Wonderful little spot away from the city. Convenient to airport and major cities. No frills but great little motel.

This hotel is about a 20-minute drive from the airport, on the way to Reykjavík, in a quiet coastal town with one store and restaurant. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, which made our stay enjoyable. There were a few mix-ups with transportation and the hot tub, but the hotel was clean and comfortable. The shared kitchen was well stocked, and we really appreciated the host’s kindness, he even offered us medicine when he heard we had a cold.

Very clean room. Small property, owner lives there - nice guy, helpful, friendly!. He keeps the property in very good condition and rooms well-equipped and very clean.

Great host, kitchen faculties👍, small rooms

The room was small but had a table to eat at and most everything one would need. But there was no hand towel and no hair dryer. Shower pressure was good. Location within 15 minutes from the airport made it a convenient and economical stop for our last night. No restaurant near by but a grocery store a short walk away and the property provides a kitchen to guests with a fridge, microwave and burner. Communication from the property manager was slow, otherwise this would have been rated a 5.

Richard, the host and owner was extremely kind, friendly and accommodating. We were lucky enough to go during a not so busy time and we were able to also use his services for pick up and drop off to the airport and couple other attractions. The place is located about 15-20 minutes from The Blue Lagoon and about 30 to 40 minutes from Reykjavík, so depending on what your plans are it could be a convenient location (about 15-20 minutes) to Keflavik International Airport.

Didn’t feel very safe

Artic w\Wind was am excellent choice to stay at for an early depature from KEF. The host was very friendly and there is a communal kitchen.

It was a great place to stay for our last night before we headed to the airport. Clean and convenient.

Clean room with thoughtful touches, conveniently located. Super quick stay for us (only there to sleep after flight briefly) but would stay longer

We appreciated that we were greeted by the owner after we found our own unit (listed on a blackboard) who advised us about the hours of the small grocery store and the restaurant available in the town. The room is quiet and cosy and the property is lovely. A hot tub experience is available on request. The shared kitchen had apples (we took a couple) and a refrigerator and many appliances for making food, but we did not take advantage of the opportunity. We choose this property because we had arrived in Iceland at 6 am and after a coffee in the airport drove to the Blue Lagoon. Arctic Wind is not too far from Blue Lagoon and we knew we would be very tired (ie we didn't want to drive too far). Overall virtually no complaints but having spent more than a week on the Ring Road since the stay at Arctic Wind it is slightly on the expensive side.

Arctic Wind is a great place to stay, especially if you want to be outside of Reykjavik or closer to the airport or Blue Lagoon. The rooms are well appointed with every element considered to make for a comfy, easy stay. The beds are top notch and we slept well, even in the long daylight period of year (thanks to the blackout curtains as well). Ryszard is fantastic and made our stay even easier, giving us the tour of the room and all amenities, helping with airport transportation, and pointing us to the nearby restaurant before it closed for the night. Vogar is a very small town but the people are all friendly and welcoming and made this one-night stay the highlight of our two-part visit to Iceland.

Super quiet

Have an early flight to catch so I had to book something near the airport. The room is well above expectations, greet by the owner, the room is clean warm and cozy, there is a fully equipped kitchen next door. Sadly I had to get up at 4am leave at 5, definitely look forward to stay there again.

Arctic Winds was a perfect location for 3 couples to stop for the night. Close to the airport and all the facilities needed for a quick visit. Richard was excellent to work with as well and provided great information about any questions asked.
