It was a great place to stay for our last night before we headed to the airport. Clean and convenient.

Clean room with thoughtful touches, conveniently located. Super quick stay for us (only there to sleep after flight briefly) but would stay longer

We appreciated that we were greeted by the owner after we found our own unit (listed on a blackboard) who advised us about the hours of the small grocery store and the restaurant available in the town. The room is quiet and cosy and the property is lovely. A hot tub experience is available on request. The shared kitchen had apples (we took a couple) and a refrigerator and many appliances for making food, but we did not take advantage of the opportunity. We choose this property because we had arrived in Iceland at 6 am and after a coffee in the airport drove to the Blue Lagoon. Arctic Wind is not too far from Blue Lagoon and we knew we would be very tired (ie we didn't want to drive too far). Overall virtually no complaints but having spent more than a week on the Ring Road since the stay at Arctic Wind it is slightly on the expensive side.

Arctic Wind is a great place to stay, especially if you want to be outside of Reykjavik or closer to the airport or Blue Lagoon. The rooms are well appointed with every element considered to make for a comfy, easy stay. The beds are top notch and we slept well, even in the long daylight period of year (thanks to the blackout curtains as well). Ryszard is fantastic and made our stay even easier, giving us the tour of the room and all amenities, helping with airport transportation, and pointing us to the nearby restaurant before it closed for the night. Vogar is a very small town but the people are all friendly and welcoming and made this one-night stay the highlight of our two-part visit to Iceland.

Super quiet

Have an early flight to catch so I had to book something near the airport. The room is well above expectations, greet by the owner, the room is clean warm and cozy, there is a fully equipped kitchen next door. Sadly I had to get up at 4am leave at 5, definitely look forward to stay there again.

Arctic Winds was a perfect location for 3 couples to stop for the night. Close to the airport and all the facilities needed for a quick visit. Richard was excellent to work with as well and provided great information about any questions asked.

Great and friendly attentive staff

It is a basic but complete facility. Very convenient if you need a place to stay close to the airport. Staff is very friendly. Location seems a bit weird. In the middle of a subdivision? or an industrial area?

The room size was much smaller than expected.

The room was extremely small about 10' x 12' roughly. The bathroom also small and the shower was challenging to close the door while inside it was so small. It was a clean room and comfortable.

Pese a que llegamos con 5 horas de retraso por el vuelo, nos permitió desayunar más tarde y alargar el check out. Mucha amabilidad. Totalmente recomendable.

It was a great place to stay, there was very nice hot spring Kitchen, close to the ocean, great service! My family enjoyed the time at Arctic Wind!

Room was small but very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was very peaceful and quiet. There was loud bikes going by but mostly before 10 pm. Parking was easy. The guy here is wonderful and the cheerfulest and helpfulest guy ever. He made us feel very welcome. Conveniently 20 mins from KEF int. Airport and he was accomadating for our early morning flight in. We were able to check in at 10:30. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Good little place to stay if you have an early flight or a late arrival. Basic room but had everything we needed. To be honest the amenities where the same as the hotel we paid £500 a night for it just didn’t have the view. Very helpful host who showed us around. Great little grocery store just a few metres walk and the sea is just a few steps further. The bonus - this property has a great kitchen attached for guests use with a washing machine!!!

I was very disappointed with my stay at this guesthouse. The room was extremely small and cramped and the bathroom was no better — definitely not as spacious or comfortable as the pictures on the booking site suggest. The photos are quite misleading and do not reflect the reality of the accommodations. There is no swimming pool contrary to what the listing implies and the hot tub is not included in the price of your stay. The owner charges an additional €25 if you want to use it which feels unreasonable given the already high cost of the stay. The location is also quite poor unless you specifically need to be near KEF airport. There’s one restaurant nearby and a convenience store but that’s about it — very limited options. Overall, this place is severely overpriced for what it offers. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it unless you are in a pinch and just need to be near the airport.
