Loved the amenities! Had a hot tub, sauna, darts and billiards!

The facility was very nice. Our room was clean, spacious, modern. Would definitely stay again!

The breakfast had quite a lot of choices, but the food wasn’t the best quality. The room was large, clean and had a tv. We enjoyed climbing hungover lookout tower to see the views, played darts and billiards.

The owner, Karl and his wife treated us like family!! The hot tub was perfect, the food was excellent and home made, the Hotel location by the fiord gave us incredible views and the chance to walk to the shore. One of the best Hotels we've been in a very long time!!

Friendly owners, lovely location, comfortable rooms

We arrived late to the hotel and were greeted by the hotel owner at the front desk. Check-in was a snap. It was around 9:00 pm and my husband asked about restaurants still open in the area. The owner said we could drive into Akureyri maybe a 20 minute drive. We were too tired from our 7 hour drive from the south coast to go and find a restaurant, then the owner said we could order drinks at the bar and get mixed nuts to munch on, which we did. As we were sitting in the restaurant, the owner's wife came over and offered to make us sandwiches. We first said,"no", because we didn't want to interrupt her and her husband working on their laptops at a different table. She insisted politely, and we finally said,"yes". Out came two ham and cheese sandwiches. That's what I call excellent hospitality! We stayed two nights and had the best room in the hotel. It was clean, modern and we had British and American programs on the TV, not that we spent a great amount of time watching them, but it was nice to catch an hour of an English language program before nodding off to sleep on our comfortable beds. We were able to see the Northern Lights right from our room. Clear skies! The next morning, we had a delicious and filling breakfast. All we could possible want. Then it was on the road to do the Diamond ring drive. The hotel is in a good location to visit Akureyri and do this lovely drive. We can't write every wonderful detail of our stay, but we highly recommend this hotel.

Brilliant from start to finish. Excellent service, friendly, great room, great view, fabulous food. Cant fault it.

positives: gute Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet gute kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten negatives: sehr ringhörig: es war wie in einem Massenlager...man hörte jeden ins Zimmer kommen und reden v.a. jeden Abend ein Bus mit Touristen die im Haus und Flur lärmten bis um 23 Uhr und ständig beeinander auf den Zimmern waren... der Manager zeigte sich wenig hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich. Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers liess zu wünschen übrig.

Wonderful place to stay! My wife & I loved it! We were able to see the northern lights, the bed was comfy, shower was amazing and the view was very nice! 10/10

The Hotel was very nice. Staff were great. The reception and support excellent. Dinner buffet was $$$ though convenient and very good. Breakfast was very good. Really liked this property.

Wonderful hotel. Clean room and very comfortable bed. Lobby area and bar were excellent. Loved that there was a bar with happy hour after a days drive. Highly recommend the buffet dinner. There was so much variety. They have an a la carte restaurant as well. Breakfast was good. Staff are lovely. There’s an outdoor hot tub as well. Everything you need.
