Great staff, easy check in

GREAT staff. Room comfortable. Price fair.

Very cozy, great location, Adriene at front desk was very helpful.

Nice hotel off the city center but walkable. Room comfortable enough for 4 people. It was like a duplex with 4 comfortable twin beds. Bathroom kind of small. Room did have some hot springs odor that was not pleasant but nothing overwhelming. Staff nice and courteous. Breakfast was very simple continental but lacked more types of bread or danishes.

We had a room for four adults with a loft and private bath. There was a mountain view which was nice. Bathroom was small but clean and met our needs. The continental breakfast that was included was very good. Lots of variety and everything tasted good. Would recommend this property.

Lobby and breakfast were great. One room was not clean and needed refreshing before we could stay in it. The other was fine. Hotel staff did great to rectify the situation. They do not have a shuttle to the airport.. just an expensive shuttle service that will stop by… a little misleading from their booking ad.

Nice hotel

Noisy hotel. Much noise of guests walking on floor above us. Slamming of doors because many of them jammed.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Klambratún park and the Kjarvalsstaðir art museum. Parking is very convenient in a lot next to the hotel. The staff is helpful and friendly.

The rooms were clean, staff was welcoming, but the bathroom had a bad smell and you had to let the hot water run for a while for the weird smell to go away. Smelled like something rotten.

I like the location but not the staff

Excellent choices of breakfast; very helpful staff; close location to center city.

Parking was very convenient, and the staff were super nice. Breakfast was okay, but there weren’t many choices. I especially liked the freshly baked breaf for the breakfast in this hotel.

Hotel Orkin was lovely. Our room was bigger than expected, which was unexpected and honestly very nice. The tv in the room allowed us to all watch a movie together in the evening, which was all we wanted to do after a long day of traveling. The breakfast was also very pleasant. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

You do not travel to Island and Reykjavik to stay within a hotel. Clean, deasent, OK breakfast. Just as expected. Relatively central in Reykjavik. Free Parking. Recomended

Fantastic experience. 2 bed room apartment that was clean and spacious. Breakfast provided was delicious, coffee 24 hours was a great perk. Easy parking.

The hotel is very nice but I found the room itself a bit uncomfortable. The beds were firmer than I like with only one thin pillow ( I asked for a second pillow and they brought it up immediately!) there were very few outlets and not placed in logistical areas so that I would use my backup battery to charge on the bedside overnight and then recharge the battery during the day. The shower was very small and the curtain would billow in and cling to you while showering—no way to get away from it! Parking was free and ample but it isn’t super close to the downtown area where best restaurants and shops are. We didn’t find the 1.3 mile walk a problem (rather nice in the summer when the sun doesn’t set!) but most probably would drive downtown and need to pay for parking. The area felt very safe. Breakfast I think is typical for what hotels here served and saved us money on eating out. Very robust and tasty food (bread with lots of spreads, yogurt, granola, soft boiled eggs and cold cuts) Overall despite not being one of the more comfortable places I’ve ever stayed it is the “devil you know” and I would stay here again

Great central location for a Reykjavik visit, staff was great and extremely helpful, breakfast was wonderful and plenty. Only negative was the room was a little warm with no A/C, and faucet and shower water had strong sulphur smell that filled the room, which made taking a shower unpleasant. All else was perfect for us .
