ホテル スカフタフェル

フロントのスタッフさんはみんな親切。 冷蔵庫を借りてサンドイッチやドリンクなどを冷やしてくれた。 レストランはとても美味しい。 周りにお店がないエリアだが、レストランを利用するべき。 ホテルの裏から氷河を見られるので自然も味わえる。

氷の洞窟ツアーの集合場所から比較的近かったため、こちらに宿泊。 チェックイン時に、ホテルの裏から山側へ向かうと15分程で氷河を見られると教えていただきました。天気も良く、夕暮れ時の綺麗な景色が見られました。 施設内は清潔で建物もしっかり整備されているようでした。 自分達の部屋はレセプションのある建屋と別の離れでしたが、離れの前に車を横付けできるので大きい荷物でも楽に運び入れられました。

シャワーの出もよく全体的に清潔感のあるホテルです。この辺では小さいホテルだと共同シャワーの所が多いので専用シャワーがあるので選びましたが良かったです

ホテルの部屋は狭め。 夕食を食べれるのは、ホテルのレストラン以外だと、道の向かい側のガソリンスタンド併設のショップ&レストランのみ。レベルは落ちるが、こちらの方がホテルレストランの半額程度。 ホテルの周りの街灯がかなり明るいので、ホテル周辺でのオーロラ観測は厳しいと思う。私達はネットでオーロラ情報がアクティブになったら、車(レンタカー)で、5分ほど走らせた路肩の広い所で待機した。 朝食ブッフェは普通。クロワッサンは美味しかった。

ホテルの裏側を少し散歩すると、巨大な氷河が幾筋も見え、素晴らしいロケーション。食事や対応も期待以上でした。

部屋は二人で荷物広げるには少し狭い 一人旅には丁度良い シャワーカーテンしていてもシャワールームが水浸しになるので 足ふきタオルはシャワールームの外に敷いた方が良い

豪華とは言えないが、必要最低限の設備はしっかり整っているので全く問題なく快適に過ごせる。氷河も近くに見えるので気分転換に周囲を散策もできる。運が良ければオーロラも見られるのでは？

Breakfast buffet was awesome! Staff very helpful when we needed ice, travel advice, etc. Room was tiny but clean. Glacier behind the hotel was a bonus!

Better than expected for a hotel stay but certainly fewer amenities than an aparthotel; stayed in new building at the back - room small but comfortable with good bathroom - extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff - decent breakfast with hot and cold options - hiking trail to glacier right behind the hotel - beautiful setting - a hot tub would have been nice after hiking in the national park :)

Clean room and nice staff. Shower is bit small. Good place to stay.

Hotel Skaftafell was a good stay for us mainly because of the location. It was the most convenient choice for being near our glacier hike the next morning, and it was also easy to drive back to after our Zodiac boat tour at Glacier Lagoon. For that part of the trip, the location was perfect. The included breakfast was really good and had a nice variety. We also had dinner at the attached restaurant the night before. It was pricey, but the food was delicious. The kids’ menu was not great, but the staff were very kind and let us come in to eat even though we arrived only about five minutes before the end of seating. The room itself was small, and the beds were just okay. There was nothing especially memorable about the room, but it worked fine for a short stay. There is also a gas station with a really good grill fairly close by, which was convenient. Overall, this hotel was a practical and helpful stop because of the location, breakfast, restaurant, and easy access to the glacier activities we had planned.

Food super pricy.

Small basic rooms which were very comfortable. Ours looked out on the snow capped mountains. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Best part was the trail access from behind the hotel to the glaciers, lakes, waterfalls and wildflowers within walking distance. Loved the location!!!

Clean room with professional staff, nice bar area and great location. Breakfast (included) was excellent.

Chambre propre, bien situé

Breafast menu was fine, but would have like to have seen some dried fruit options as well as better toasters for bread. The rooms were nice and spacious, beds comfortable for a great night's rest, and the bathroom was a better size than most we experienced so you didn't feel like you had to turn in place to move around.

The front desk staff was so helpful and pointed out local attractions. The location was beautiful and peaceful. The food was great and the breakfast Buffett had so many options.

On arrival (26/04) we were greated by a lovely lady, she was helpful and changed our room to two single beds instead of a double bed, that was a life saver. (Parking was easy too and plenty of spaces) Room was SUPER clean and everything you could need there. Tea and coffee facilities was brilliant. The beds were extremely comfortable and the view was our of this world. Shower had shampoo, conditioner and body wash that smelled amazing and the shower was very powerful! The only "criticism" I have about the room is the kettle placement, we had to use the bathroom plug to boil it as the closest plug to the desk was too far away. Breakfast was good, plenty of bread and crackers available, cheese, ham and fruits etc, cereal and hot food (beans, egg, bacon and small sausags). The only "criticism" I have if I was being very very fussy about breakfast was that there wasn't a lot of yoghurt selection to choose from, there was only one yoghurt choice. All in all, brilliant location to stop between Höfn and Vik, clean room and hotel overall, friendly staff and would definitely visit again.
