The staff greeted us quickly and gave us a tour of the place at check in.
The room was clean and perfect for our needs.
The catfish at dinner was cooked perfect.
The breakfast was excellent and we never ran out of the essentials.
We saw the Northern Lights over the hotel that evening.
I'd stay here again for sure.

Very friendly staff, quiet location and close to Studlagil canyon. Dining option is limited but the restaurant at the hotel is good. Breakfast is served included, a big plus since food is expensive in Iceland. Definitely Will stay again in the future.

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer. Dies war nicht im Hauptgebäude, sondern einem Nebengebäude. Die anderen Zimmer dort waren nicht belegt. Es war leider total unterkühlt (bei 0C Außentemperatur) und es gab nur kleine Heizelemente. Das Bad war wirklich nur sehr einfach und das warme Wasser nach der zweiten Person erst einmal weg.
Gegen 23h hatten wir auch noch einen Stromausfall.
Insgesamt eine sehr einfache Unterkunft.
Frühstück war gut mit Müsli, Brot und Obst. Diverse Getränke.

Neue Zimmer , Unterkunft direkt an der Ringstraße nicht weit zum Studlagil. Man kann dort gut essen (Burger, Sandwiches) ansonsten ist abe rnichts in der nahen Umgebung.

Pros: beautiful surroundings, close to canyon, friendly staff, good food, comfy beds
Cons: room was like a prefab shelter in poor condition, toilet leaking, insufficient heating, price was like a 4* in Tokyo or NY. I get it that we’re paying for the location and not for quality or comfort, but this felt like a bit too overpriced. It was the worst stay we had in Iceland, and in the top 3 of the priciest I ever paid.

Not a lot of choices in this area and it appeared to be in the middle of no where so we were happy to see a place to rest at the end of the day. The facility is definitely older, the glass in our window was cracked, and the room only had a portable heater. Saying that it was manageable for one night, the food was okay, and the staff was friendly.
