My stay at Milk Factory Höfn was far below expectations. The bathroom walls were noticeably dirty — to the point where, given the hotel’s name, it felt like you could ferment half the menu in there. The blackout curtains were worn out and didn’t function well, and the breakfast was extremely basic. The location is convenient, but the property needs a serious improvement in cleanliness and upkeep.

Das Personal war nett, das Hotel praktisch gelegen und das Zimmer zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Das Bett was sauber und bequem. Frühstück war ok. Allerdings können wir die sehr guten Bewertungen nicht ganz nachvollziehen- das Hotel oder zumindest unser Zimmer gehört auf jeden Fall renoviert (Flecken an der Wand, Fugen im Bad, abgesplitterte Teile an der Tür). Außerdem wird überall mit einem schönem Blick auf die Natur beworben - aus unserem Zimmer blickte man durch das große Fenster auf eine 2-stöckige Baustelle. In der Früh als wir aufwachten, stand 5 Meter weiter, uns gegenüber schon der erste Bauarbeiter… In Summe: gute Lage, nettes Personal, aber der Rest entsprach definitiv nicht unseren Erwartungen.

Mycket sparsam frukost. För oss som äter veganskt och dessutom inte tål mjölkprotein fanns nästan ingenting att äta. Mycket dåligt!

Clean and comfortable! Try to ask for a room facing north if you plan to see a nothern light ：）

Menu’ colazione non molto vario ma fresco. Ottimo lo skyr fresco e la torta di carote e cannella. E’ organizzato come un normale hotel con la reception e le stanze disposte intorno alla sala colazione. Molto pulito, ampio per 4 persone, con soppalco.

clean modern room. nice to have personal bathroom. toast, cereal and fresh fruit (plus more stuff) free of charge for breakfast. would recommend this place

Mooie slaapkamer voor 4 personen. Ontbijt was top.

Omg the place was incredible. Super clean,looks new and everything. Breakfast was amazing and the view from the room was spectacular! Recommended! Also there is a trail near so you can run or walk with a espectacular view! Enjoy!

We had a wonderful room and the staff were amazing. Will recommend this spot to friends and would stay again!

Séjour d'une nuit en chambre familiale tres spacieuse, lumineuse et propre. Acceuil chaleureux et petit dejeuner compris suffisamment varié et copieux. Bien situé a l'entrée de la ville.

Everything was great.

After a long day exploring Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and ice caves, this stay felt like a reward. This guesthouse was truly one of our favorites of the entire trip. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful—especially pointing us toward nearby laundry facilities, which was a lifesaver mid-trip. Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate made it even easier to unwind. The room was stunning—modern, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the loft-style layout, built-in storage for luggage and coats, and the spa-like bathroom with a powerful rain shower. The large windows were perfect for Northern Lights viewing. Breakfast leaned more continental (pastries, breads, cold cuts) rather than hot items, but everything was fresh and satisfying. Bonus: a delicious homemade carrot cake from the front desk staff! Great location for exploring Höfn—maps at the front desk were super helpful. We also enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Pakkhús Restaurant and loved strolling the charming town (don’t miss the rainbow street). A cozy, stylish, and memorable stay—highly recommend.

Breakfast was adequate

The property is right outside of the town proper. It is easily accessible, the family room was a nice space to spread out, and have a little breathing room for us and the kiddos. Breakfast was wonderful. We were able to watch the aurora from the parking lot, but we chose to drive to the end of town (about 5 minutes) to watch it over the bay without additional lights.
