Nice view from hotel. Food and liquor is exorbitantly priced, even higher than 5 star hotels elsewhere in the country.

The hotel is located near Mcleodgunj after the cantt near Naddi lake. The roads to this part of city were closed for repair and unfortunately the hotel didnt inform well in advance and hence we couldnt do any alternative arrangements.A small email in my inbox a few days before my trip which said that we needed to walk 500m for the hotel was also not giving the right picture. I was travelling with my parents who though are senior citizens and are fitter then average than their age. Since the roads were closed we had to walk for half a km or more on a steep gradient to get to the pickup car which took us to the hotel. While the hotel staff was very supportive, especially the reception, pickup driver & Porters. It was a very hectic climb and descent, especially in the pitch darkness of night and also during the day as we needed to do this hike everytime we decided to move to Mcleodgunj main ares. I would have not preferred to take my parents through this kind of ordeal. Very stressing and epecially at night with no light on streets and the locals parking the vehicles blocking even the pedestrian movements. highly disappointing.

Menu should include more choices. Wifi should be free. Quality of food needs improvement. Breakfast should have more options. Very awkward location. DONOT CHOOSE IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY MARKET ROAMING.

Despite the condition that I should pay at the hotel, they started asking for advance if we wanted them to hold the booking. Then they kept denying receipt of the advance and wasted a lot of time. Rooms were smelly and nothing great. The lawns were nice and the dj music hall just made it because of good music and nice terrace.

Not recommended. Most expensive hotel in McLode and what you get in return is a big zero. There is literally nothing this hotel provides when it comes to 'services'. It is located 4 km away from main McLode market and be ready to shell out 200 bucks one way on cabs every time you travel to McLode (or better have a vehicle of your own). Hotel is not going to provide you anything - pickup or drop-off although many 'cheaper' hotels are providing such services. Room service is not so good either. They will not replace the toiletries, used tea bags etc. unless you give them a call every time and request for a replacement. At the time of check-in, confirm that your stay includes a breakfast. Even if your booking would mention that it includes one, and you have not confirmed that at the time of check-in, be ready for an argument on the breakfast bills at the time of check-out. Hotel charges 400+taxes per person for the most pathetic breakfast. You can get better stuff in the market for less than half the price. Also, get ready to be fooled about the check-in and check-out timings. My booking clearly states check-in and check-out timings as Noon but the hotel would insist at check-in 2:00 pm and check-out 11:00 am. Remember to carry a printout of all the booking related documents as you won't be able to show them anything on your smartphone as the area doesn't have 3G and the free wifi won't connect. For the password protected wifi you will again have to PAY.
