Hotel room was a good size, with comfortable bed and hot water shower. Wifi was only available at reception and even though my room was 102, located no more than 10 metres away from reception, there was no wifi coverage in the room! The hotel is located about 300 meters from the beach, with snack bars and a couple of restuarants located just before the beach. AC was good when the power was available, there seemed to be some power outages during the day and in the evenings! I discovered later on that following a power outage the switch in the fuse box in the reception will trip and they need to reset it, which they dont check until someone asks!!

We had a worst experience at this hotel. We reached the hotel by 06:30PM. Eventhough our check in time is 10AM the room not yet ready till 07:00 PM. The room did not amenities like TV, Hot Water and proper Lights also. The room filled with smoking smell. Especially the room did not have lock also. Very worst experience.

Good location for the price you pay (<3000rs). Very close to Radhanagar beach which is the best in Havelock island. Room was clean and AC, Geysers did their job. We also had tea and breakfast from the place. The place did not feel insecure although it is 50meters into a small farm.

We booked our first night here to be near beach number 7. It was a few minutes walk from the beach and was better than expected. Rooms were spacious, clean and en suite. We ate at the Hotel opposite which was ok but pricey. The young men that run Blue Ocean were friendly and helpful. There are few taxis this side of the island and the road is busy especially after sunset as police clear the sand of visitors. I'm not sure how long this hotel has been open (no previous reviews?) but give it a go if you want to be close to this beautiful beach and don't want to pay treble the price of the other hotels.
