A pleasant stay. Friendly staff. Great views.

The staff went above the call of duty. My group arrive late in the evening after a long day of traveling. We inquired about the potential of food and the staff quickly re-opened the kitchen and cooked a complete dinner meal for my group. Great people!

The Staff was VERY professional and catered to our needs with the ultimate respect and care. The hotel view was extraordinary and topped off the stay with the perfect wow factor. I will not choose another hotel to stay in after Rahul Guest House.

Very good guest house and great value for money. Food is extremely good. A bit off the beaten track but great views of the ganges and ghats

First of all, the staff at rahul guesthouse was very Friendly and helpfull. We had the Big room on the top with a Big view over the river Ganes. That was just amazing, wanking up and enjoying ganges! I Think we were the only ones staying st the guesthouse at this time. Their was bor hot water in the morning unless the staff turned it on. The restaurent served breakfast and we had porridge and milk coffe which has fine. The hotel is a away from the ghats but it’s okay. All in all the guest house is very welcoming and basic. If you are looking for a Luxurious place or more central, then there are better offers, but we were quite happy.

Nice staff and very helpful. Very good view of Ganges. Approacuto the hotel is little difficult.

Hotel qui donne sur le gange et à l'écart du vacarme de vanarasi. La propreté de la salle de bain et les draps sont à revoir sérieusement ainsi que le matelas surtout pour une chambre dite supérieure . La cuisine y est très bonne ainsi que le service

Bathrooms smelling of urine. No action taken when reported and shown to the owner. Suggest you take it out from your list.

When I booked this guest house pictures looked great, and it was in my budget, I was not expecting any thing more for the price I paid, but basic amenities is what I expected. Again we were three adults, they managed a roll away bed, but the problem came following day when it was time for shower, no hot water, I am not sure if people in this area take cold shower when it is so cold outside as in temperature? we had to call twice the front desk, this is family run guest house, so no front desk guy, the water shut off there was no water in the over head tank, then they had to pump and finally heat the water which wasted and hour of our time.

Good people. Nice room. Bed a bit hard but all good. Service really good. Good place to feel safe.

We did not realise that this would be so far away from the major ghats. It was even a good kilometer or so away from Assi ghat. Having said that, the ambiance was peaceful, relatively clean and the staff was very accommodating. I strongly recommend the family room because one wall is entirely glass and it overlooks the Ganges. The view is breathless. Food (veg but allows eggs) was quite tasty.

My room is located on the 1st floor, no air conditioning. The weather was over 40 the days i was there. The room& bathroom are cleaned. Mr Rahul is very nice to let me check out later due to my flight was delayed twice but you can't stay for too long, they are currently doing renovation on the top level, very noisy from 11 to 5pm. The tourist kitchen on the same level. About 10 to 15 walk to tourist attractions -ghat.

Friendly welcome. Clean hotel. Lots of steps and no lift. Pretty garden on ground level. Renovation work I. Progress so lots of tiles and work materials. piled up everywhere. Staff helpful, but most spoke very little English so difficult to communicate. Boat trips along the Ganges and other excursions organised by hotel, which was very helpful. Room ensuite, non AC with fan - clean and basic. Wifi on roof, where restaurant.. Not much comfortable seating. Food good though service slow. Often staff not around to serve. Guest house a goog 15 minute walk to nearest ghat, Assi Ghat and otherwise just street market around, quite poor area, Very poor wifi connectivity.

I had an excellent stay and enjoyed the food at the roof top restaurant. The staff were attentive and site seeing tours could be provided. I would stay there again

Great hotel with an excellent and responsive manager who does try to cater for your needs. Only small issue is location - it isn't at Assi Ghat itself - it's a 10-15 min walk. The walk is fine, but just a slight pain to walk to Assi Ghat in the early morning if taking the sunrise cruise from Assi. Rickshaw is also a good option to cover this extra journey. The tour prices are competitive also from the hotel

This is a 2-star rated guest house on the Ganges, and you get pretty much what you would expect. If you are used to 4 and 5 star hotels this will be a shock - more suitable for backpackers, etc. It is close to the central area for the ceremonies on the ghats, but quicker to walk (around 20-30) minutes than to go by car. We were told there were nicer guest houses closer to the main action and still close to the Ganges. There are no 5-star hotels in Varanasi! The rooms appeared dirty and rundown - e.g., toilet seat completely broken, sheets with stains, etc. However, the staff were very friendly, and they serve good vegetarian food on the rooftop, with views over the Ganges, or inside when the mosquitoes start biting. The one cook they works very hard. They also serve beer. Having said this, the views over the Ganges are great within the expected urban living. Take a boat cruise for the morning sunrise. All in all, the prices at the Rahul can't be beat and so you get pretty good values for money.
