Best view

Property is good but little smell we think due to closing all doors. Please bed sheets have to change after every customer. bathroom was not inspected by hotel management things are broken.

Sterling mussorie was excellent in all aspects except location, which is little far away from Mall road

Good stay, but please note the property is under renovation and as of March the floor/reception level had no rooms so if you are traveling with any elderly of someone who can not take stairs, please check in advance.

Overall stay was good, property location is good. However, they do not serve alcohol. Also, at check-in, we were told that for our booked room category (suit with mountain view) we will have to take about 150 stairs, which is almost egual to 9 floors, so we had to compromise on view /location of room, which probably was a lower category room. Further, while using lift I lost my way and they do not have sufficient direction board to help customers find way!

The views are wonderful and the food is good. However, beware that the rooms are quite different than what is shown on Expedia’s website- dingy interiors, marks on the walls, mold in the bathrooms, etc.

It was quite unexpected that the cleanliness was very poor. Dirty fan, bedding,washroom... it all added to my dismay. A very poor experience for a name like Sterling

We stayed for 5 days and our intent was to relax and not spend energies in sight-seeing. This place, as are other hotels in Mussoorie, is built on the hills at different gradients. Therefore, one has to walk about 50 to 175 steps depending on location of the room. We stayed in Privilege suite. The one that was allotted to us did not have a clear view of the valley. After we requested a change, we were given a different room. The second one was relatively newly built, but further down (block 19 series). The room had a great view of the valley. The room was well furnished, clean and cozy. The staff are generally courteous and room service was prompt despite the distance from restaurant. The resort had organised evening activities which were good. Resort also has some adventure activities, which one might avail of. All the adventure activities are paid activities. A nice place to wind-down. It's a little away from Mall road, hence if you don't have your own conveyance, you are at the mercy of taxi operators for moving around. Their charges are a bit high. The restaurant food is ok with decent spread of items. lunch and dinner is available in both buffet as well as ala-carte.

We went for a family Getaway... The Cottages are nicely made.... Options of Microwave Cooking in every Room... Enjoyed the Stay in the nature's Lap... You must have your own Conveyance to Stay in this Resort... Food and Services were excellent....

Internet doesn't work in rooms, transport not available and water heating doesn't work at all if a person goes for shower right after another person

This is a great property with a lot of rooms and space. Overall my experience was better than expected and i would certainly recommend it

Booked two rooms herein Missouri to getaway from city life for couple of days, approach to hotel was little tricky, if you are planning to stay here be prepared climb up/down 150 steps in order to access hotel lobby/resturant/cars from ur hotel rooms. View from the rooms is quite pleasing. Don't miss the morning sunrise. Food and breakfast buffet is really nice.10 mins away from mall road by car. Overall stay was decent and we had fun, but access to room is tough if u cannot climb 100+ stairs. Mind you renovation is going on at this hotel. Room service was fast, can have them deliver the food.

Hotels rooms are good . Only problem is to climb more than 100 steps when you have to go out

The hotel was under renovation, but the staff was really helpful. They offered us newly renovated rooms but we could not take them as there was no lift and we have to go many stairs down. Upon request they gave us the rooms near to reception and they were good rooms with good view. The hotel is a bit far from the mail market, but it's a good point for people who are driving their own car.

Rooms - Very nice. I stayed in newly renovated rooms. Location - Awesome Staff - Unprofessional. I asked to change my room key as it did not work once the door is locked. In four days stay, it was not changed. Further, My room had used bed spread, comforter and microwave gloves. I raised this with the hotel and tweeted as well. Then after the hotel took notice and appologiesed. Reception - All reception staffs are non skilled for hospitality business. They work like any government organization. Connectivity to the main town - if you do not have your own vehicle, you are left to chance. Hotel's claim to provide taxi facility is a sheer lie. Sterling properties are known for its location so it is. But customer service is a serious concern. Restaurant - its very average. And do not have much options. Recommendation - go with your own vehicle. Do not have high hope of service. The location is great.

Sterling Holidays is an Excellent Property only 2 km from the library chowk (where Mall Road starts). Pick up and drop from the resort is quickly arranged by the resort staff at a reasonable rate. The view from the room is breath taking. The complimentary breakfast offered in the Expedia hotel booking by the resort is well spread and well attended by the ever courteous staff. One wishes a revisit soon.

Home away from Home

Stay was quite comfortable. Staff was very cooperative. However, turnaround time of room service/house keeping can be slightly improved.

I have booked this hotel cheked-in to go till my room i have to cross 150 stairs and then i came to know that mobile signals are not there in any room of the hotel
