部屋は快適。湖が見える部屋で景色もよい。バスタブもついているので、リラックスすることができた。インド特有なのか何かお願いすると持ってきてくれるまで30分くらいかかったり、再度電話することが何度かあった。栓抜き自体を貸してほしいのだが、だめだそうで、ビールを飲むときに都度電話しなければならないのが難点だった。スパは最悪、サービスも悪いし、下手だし、おすすめしない。

overall good experience

I recently stayed at Carlton Hotel, booking through Hotels.com. I paid over 300 SGD per night expecting a premium experience, but the room was shockingly outdated. The walls were darkened due to effects of time, which is completely unacceptable for a so-called five-star hotel. The overall condition of the room did not justify the price I paid, especially when I’ve stayed in much more modern and comfortable hotels for a fraction of the cost. The hotel may look nice from the outside, but the outdated interior and lack of upkeep made me feel like I had completely wasted my money. Additionally, the hotel advertised a lift, but what they didn’t mention is that the lift only serves limited floors, and for the rest, you have to deal with stairs. This was a huge inconvenience for me as I was traveling with my elderly mother, and it was never communicated clearly in advance. To make matters worse, I tried to cancel my booking due to these issues, but I was passed between the hotel and the booking agent, with neither responding to my attempts to resolve the issue. After waiting over an hour with no resolution, I was left feeling helpless and trapped. I am beyond frustrated. While the staff were all polite and kind, the overall experience left me feeling let down, especially considering the high price paid for what felt like an outdated and underwhelming stay.

Enjoyed our stay very much. The staff members were courteous and helpful. Food was very good. We were visiting after 43 years. The hotel staff made our stay memorable.

This property is not worthy of a 5-star designation. The rooms are small, and sparsely furnished.

The hotel is located at the heart of the settlement, with most rooms facing the Kodai lake. The close proximity to the lake and the surrounding market makes this a prime tourist spot. The rooms are standard-grade 5-star offerings. The cottages are the highlight. Although just marginally expensive than the premium rooms, they come with three rooms, plus a bathroom, and a garden. The bathrooms have a bathtub which is the cherry on the top, and quite rare in the region. The food offers plenty of variety, with the buffet consisting of over a dozen options. In terms of added facilities, have indoor games like air hockey, TT, tennis, as well as spa services. The lush green gardens are a highlight, with swings, see-saws, and other contraptions for both children and adults.

It was an amazing experience, we enjoyed the very comfortable stay and delicious food and excellent service

Checking in a little rough! They wanted to take our picture! We asked why! They said marketing! We said no! Then they changed their story to taking a picture was a government regulation! No other 4-5 Star Hotel dit this?

The hotel receptionist not attend phone calls & when check out take a longer time ( more than 25 min) waiting. This hotel put clothing sales for three weeks from 02/02/2018 onward. So the clothing sales persons very crowded every were the hotel common areas from 01/02/2018.

Great location, ambience, food and facilities. Service especially in restaurant and room service can be improved. Need to improve accessibility of lower floors. As a family with small kid and stroller it was hard to move up/down the hotel.

carlton staff is very warm

Nice hotel with good staff, good food and nice service.

We went to Kodi just to relax. No plans to see places as most of the time famous places are either overcrowded and/or not properly managed. Most of the time we were at the hotel relaxing or enjoying hotel facilities. We enjoyed our time. 3rd day we went to see nearby falls but there was no rain so no water. Nobody bothered to tell this to us. So half way we cancelled our sightseeing and went back to hotel.

Loved the stay.... Ideal for 3-4 nights Can do a bit better in the entertainment section Though a lot to do for smaller kids.

Hotel was neat and peaceful. I really liked it except the manner and attitude of people who are working there. Reception → Please inform us, if check in process takes more time. how long it will take and why. then we do not waste our time much. And when we check out, please communicate with us other than the payment. [For eg: Feedback of hotel etc..]provide basic manner at least, please. Restaurant manager and workers → Please reset the people who are serving there. work division is not proper. makes more noise than the visitors. [make vessel sound, roaming] Even music selection was fast. I have doubt about there as market. Please improve services according to hotel's level.

Nice hotel build in stone and wood, it is romantic and special. It is probably the best hotel in Kodaikanal. You feel back in old times. The service is very attentionate. Good restaurant.
