Average - below expectation

The hotel as surely seen better days, My wife had checked in at the hotel on the 6th jan as we had booked this hotel, having heard it to be one of the first good hotels in the city, for three nights having come to attend a family wedding, i joined her around mid night on the 6th as the train from delhi was delayed. what i saw was shocking . the roof of the so called suite allotted to us was leaking and it was like the trickle of a tap.( my wife being alone had thought it better to wait for me at that late hour) I immediately contacted the reception and also hotels.com over telephone the hotel did change the room at 12.90 am in the night and gave us another suite after we shifted our luggage and wanted to sleep it was discovered that the lights refused to be switched off. again we contacted the reception who sent an electrician who brought a ladder and corrected the fault at around 1 am so tat we could sleep, all very disturbing and nerve wreaking as we had an early morning wedding to attend if is after we returned in the evening that we requested and got a change from the shabby suite to a more twin bedded room where we could spend the next two night a bit more comfortably our next stay would definitely be at another hotel in the city

One of the good hotels at one time, is now in a pathetic state. It seems nobody goes there anymore. I was the only one at breakfast. Points to highlight - no butter at breakfast, shower did not work, there was a used conditioner bottle in the bathroom on my arrival, rooms are not maintained. Staff there admitted that nobody comes here now. Total Avoid.

Hotel un peu désuet, mais bien situé. Personnel sympatique et resto correcte. Pas de freewifi dans les chambres!
