I really love it

The resort is situated in natural habitat. The ambience is good. You can alway hear the pleasant sound of cricket and the stream. The cottages and facilities seems to be old not well maintained. The buffet is fine. But they are very reluctant to provide room service. Hence if you have difficulty in walking or on wheel chair or with small babies avoid this place. If you are booking through Expedia make sure that you are clear about the details of the package. When we arrived at the resort we were told that either lunch or dinner is covered in the package, which was not explicitly stated while booking. No wifi in rooms. They provide it in a common area, but mostly slow. Very limited mobile network coverage. Essentially you will be away from rest of the world, which is good if that is what you want.

When me and couple of my friends decided to travel to Wayanad, Kerala, we searched for a hotel with the best ratings in the area, and looking by ratings, and especially high price per night, Vythiri sounded like a place we are looking for - with nice facilities, clean and with good food. We booked total 3 rooms. Unfortunately, from the very beginning our experience at Vythiri resort was far from expected - Bookings were all messed up, so they couldn't locate booking for one of us. Rooms were not clean and had really strong odor. Food was not up to standard, having in mind that average price per night is around 250-300$, we were expecting to have range of food to satisfy different tastes (Indian and western), unfortunately, this was not a case. Hotel staff were making issues over small things - we wanted to invite 4 of our friends to join us for a meal in a hotel restaurant (we would pay extra for it), but it was only after talk to the manager and long explanation that we were allowed to do so. The only bright point in the Resort is magnificent nature and peaceful environment. Overall, the price is too high for the standard this Resort is offering.

The private pool is very cold and it is not usuable.
