We got delayed and didn’t get to the property until almost 2 am, they said we didn’t have a reservation and after 2 hours trying to work it out with them we were offered a room if we paid 12,000 irp for two people. We had a 10am train to catch so it wasn’t worth it for less than 3 hours of sleep. Hopefully Expedia refunds us once we’re back in the states and can contact them. Spent the rest of the night in the train station. Awful place to be put in after a long day of traveling and especially frustrating. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel, I’ll repost after I hear back from Expedia on why we were charged, confirmed yet couldn’t check in.

The location in Central Bangalore is the main attraction. Affordable prices with breakfast included

It is an old fashioned hotel. The breakfast time was 7:30AM, but was not ready on a couple of days. Not an elaborate buffet breakfast arrangement. Internet was very bad in my room. Hardly any signal strength. Location is excellent. Has an old world charm to it for who are seeking it. Do not expect any modern hotel amenities (like unlimited fast internet, large spread of breakfast, pleasant staff).

Woodlands, Bangalore - an iconic hotel - has a wonderful ambiance. It has an old world charm. Large rooms with all the basic amenities. Upkeep is not at its best. If you are not too finicky, you can enjoy the old world ambiance. My room was large with a nice balcony and the all the basic amenities - work table, tea kettle, 24x7 hot water, etc. The room service menu is limited - even by vegetarian standards. Buffet Breakfast is nice - standard but tasty vegetarian spread, good service
