We had a great stay, very clean throughout. Large comfortable rooms. A/C and fridge would have improved it. We enjoyed the live music in the bar and the food was good too.

We had a 3 night stay in the Talbot Hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. We asked for a fridge for our room to put cold drinks in and when we came back it was there plugged in for us. The staff are truly exceptional. The breakfast was excellent with such a variety on offer. We had dinner too and the roast beef was wonderful. Great location for visiting Clonmel with a bus stop outside and only 10 minutes into town for €1.50 each. We would highly recommend it for a great stay. Bring your swimming things for a dip in the pool(swimming hat needed) hot tub, sauna and steam room, fabulous start to the day. We will be coming back.

The only thing we missed was air conditioning but it was a freak heat wave!

Wow what a great hotel. From the minute we checked in to the moment we left. The staff could not do enough for us. So friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were great. Large and recently refurbed the food was great. We loved our stay there. When we return to Ireland we would not stay anywhere else

Excellent hotel on the outskirts of Clonmel. A wonderful stop on the way to Cork. Amazing staff, great restaurant and tasty breakfast!

Good room very clean and warm

The staff was very friendly and would go out of their way to make sure you had the best stay possible. The only downside was I couldn’t figure out how to turn the fan on in the bathroom. I looked everywhere for a switch but it is probably there and I just couldn’t find it. Also, the TV remove I couldn’t get it to turn the sound up or down but perhaps remotes are different in Ireland and I just don’t know the way to do it. Either way, it was a great experience.

Nicely renovated and spacious room

Second time staying here and unfortunately, service is lacking and needs a complete overhaul. Checking in offers no warmth or personal touch. Seems like customer service training would be welcomed to match other hotels like the Doyle collection. Notices still up in lift about boil water service and gym pool bring closed which both were outdated. Fridge wasn't working in the room which suggests the room wasn't properly checked or maintained by housekeeping. Had to ask for new fridge to be delivered at 10:30pm. Several notices placed on room door to have it cleaned, served, fire safety and economy savings which was confusing. Resulted in room not being cleaned. Had to ask 3 times in person and via phone. While I understand there was a mix up, the service is questionable. Would have preferred a phone call informing me what happened to rectify rather than chasing down the staff. No breakfast menu in room upon arrival so had to search online. Again, an easy fix but unfortunately this was missed. Service on wheat Bar also needs attention. No menus on tables, have to ask for service to order food. Just needs more attention to the customer so you're not wondering if you order at the bar or tell servers. Please note....all glasses at the bar didn't appear to be going through hot enough water and soap to get cleaned and most glasses had stains and smudges on them. Not a huge deal but something to look at as it can turn your stomach. Please do better.

Fijn comfortabel hotel, onze kamer lag aan achterzijde waar de verwarming ketel staat die nogal wat geluid produceert, voor de rest prima en goed ontbijt, voldoende parkeergelegenheid, vriendelijk personeel
