The bed was the worst. 2 single bed joined as double. But the gap was so big it was Terrible. I was there for 3 nights we couldn't sleep even for 1 night ! It was a disaster.

Lack of staff .Had to wait almost ten minutes at reception to check in,as the one receptionist was on the telephone In the dining area we stood waiting for five minutes for someone to acknowledge us and take us to a table. Evening meal was okay but cooked breakfast was luke warm.

Room was spacious with reading lights by the beds, but to work at the desk all overhead lights had to be on. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any hairdryer in the room.

Teller und Schüsseln beim Frühstück waren dreckig. Nutella wurde nur an bestimmten Tagen ans Buffet gestellt.

The breakfast was varied and fresh with the staff attentive and helpful.

The biggest issue with this hotel is the poor Wi-Fi. Ive stayed twice now in different rooms. If you sit at the desk there is a good chance you will constantly lose connection or fail to connect. On both stays I ended up using roaming. Super annoying. 2 laptops, 1 phone and a tablet same issue. Even when moving around the room connectivity was iffy. For the 2nd room the router was literally outside the room. The complaint made had no effect. It's not good enough for a 1st world country! Not sure the staff used a vacuum cleaner once in the room either. The gym is pretty good and well equipped. One of the male early morning staff is super grumpy and often has towels (happened 4x in 7 gym sessions). Each time he seemed put out he had to go fetch one. Surely thats part of his job! Bed was very comfy. If the rooms had a mini fridge that would make a big difference when staying 1 week or more. Big Tesco round the corner and several good restaurants in the area. I did not see any aircon so I'm not sure what it will be like in summer. Probably hot? The hotel restaurant is very good. Good selection of food and drink and good staff.

Everything about this hotel is great room facilities staff meals.

The staff is 2nd to none. All in all, the stay was great. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of free parking. Close to everything. The only con, would be how loud the doors are when they close.

Excellent stay at the Talbot, first time visitors, room was great, spa and pool great, staff great, service excellent and overall highly recommended. Great location for exploring county cork

Overall stay was excellent from reception to cleaning staff we travel alot would rate the Talbot one of the best food so fresh & reasonable was up graded to a SUITE such luxury interior design & decore beautiful no money spared well done to all at the Talbot
