We were so delighted with our stay. It's just pity that we only had to stay overnight and did not really enjoy the place but we'll be back soon. I will definitely come back here and recommend this to my famil and friends. The price is also cheap for a 2bed apartment.

Perfect place to base our Southern Ireland stay out of. Wish we had more time here. Staff went above and beyond in their helpfulness to our travels. Amazing breakfast and dinner at the pub entertaining with live music.

Muckross Reserve apartments were in a great location to walk to the nearby Abbey, House & Gardens but a little far out of Killarney to walk (about an hour or 10/15 mins drive). The apartments were furnished well but kitchen utensils/cookware were basic - we could have used a casserole dish for the oven vs just a shallow baking tray. Other self catering apartments we have stayed in have supplied a welcome pack including basic condiments like oil, salt and pepper, milk and treats vs just tea and coffee sachets and small box of chocolates but we asked for salt and pepper and oil from Colgans next door second day. All the staff were very friendly and helped us organise taxis for our large party going into town. Would highly recommend using this as a base to explore the area and Ring of Kerry.

We stayed in the apartments, not the hotel proper. It was old and dated, beat up. The hotel was nicer, but needs a facelift. Service and food were excellent though!

We've felt a bit neglected in the restaurant outside area. There was a group of 100 inside. Food quality was not great, starters arrived with mains which meant eating cold food.

Overall, very good. The location is great. South of Killarney, so if you want to be in the middle of pubs and restaurants and such, this may not be the place for you, but we loved that we could walk to Muckross Abbey, and that we were right by the lake and Torc Waterfall with short drives. They offered free bike rental, which I'd have loved if we had more time. The staff were very friendly. Both the person who checked us in, and the one who checked us out, were super-friendly, and were quick and to the point. The room itself was nice. It was a bit hot when we were there, so a fan would've been nice, but we just cranked the windows wide and that did the job. The two bedroom apartment was great, and relaxing.

The bed was two twins pushed together, which made for a hard edge down the middle. One side was worn and saggy. The other was somewhat comfortable.

We stayed in the apartments at Muckross. We were only there one night, but I think these would be great for families staying a few nights in the area. They were clean and nicely decorated with a number of amenities. Nice living area and kitchen. One note though....there are 3 floors and NO elevators which I don't remember reading in the fine print. They really need to state this more clearly as I imagine some people would have a problem with this. We weren't very thrilled that we had to haul our luggage to the 3rd floor.

The apartment was very spacious for our family of 4. 2 bathrooms were nice! No swimming pool but had a relaxing communal hot tub in the spa area that you could use for up to 2 hours at an additional cost. The concierge was wonderful and very helpful!

Beautiful property. Clean rooms. Quite space. We stayed at the halfway point in n our trip and enjoyed the spa which was also beautiful. Definitely would stay again.
