We stayed in the beachside annex. This is really on the beach and therefore next to restaurants, but steps to the water. So there are lots of people around during the day, but mostly families. Also, San Andrea is tiny, so by restaurants, I mean three. By the time we had finished dinner, the entire beach had cleared out and we were the only people there. For breakfast, we could make the short trip to the hotel, where the coffee is prepared as you like it and the buffet offering a wide range of healthy, fresh food.
The staff are highly professional, which came in handy for me. I needed assistance for an unpredicted and serious problem, which was miraculously solved by Maurizio, who is as knowledgeable about Elba as a person can be.
You can rent an umbrella, or you can buy a snorkel and swim off the rocks (very satisfying) or you can make a short trek to a peaceful, sandy beach. All said, a great location with a mostly Italian clientele and very good, fresh seafood.
We rented a car and the driving can be challenging. If you are not accustomed to winding roads and Italian driving (other cars come close and often at high speed) it might be a bit scary.

We had a group stay here and it was pretty good. The hotel is a close walk to the main beach area and they are friendly and helpful at the front desk. Rooms feel a bit dated to me. While rooms are nice and clean, they could use a refresh. My partner liked the firmness of the bed and I felt it too hard, anyways we slept because the days were long so I was happy to come back to a clean place to rest my head. There is a zero noise tolerance at the hotel after 10pm, a few of us were sitting out in the courtyard having a night cap and were told to shut it down, that was disappointing because it didn’t seem we were being overly loud or disrespectful. So just a heads up on that - it a quiet resort. Breakfast was great, nice options for many cultures.

Beautiful view from the terrace. The “garden view” room faced a retaining wall separating property from someone else’s garden. Would recommend d the upgrade to the ocean view rooms.

Excellent service, cleanliness and location. Only suggestion would be to make early morning coffee available before breakfast at 8. If you are looking for a pristine location in the perfect setting, this is your place. Our second visit and we hope to return.

Hotel ben posizionato a 3 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia, servizio a mio avviso eccellente: il personale è molto accogliente e disponibile. Inoltre offre posteggi auto coperti e videosorvegliati in loco - bisogna fare attenzione quando si esce dalla stradina, molto pendente - e offre un terrazzo esterno con poltrone e tavoloni molto comodi e suggestivo.
Unica pecca la camera: molto pulita anche se non totalmente confortevole (gli scuri non oscurano completamente e la porta del box doccia era malfunzionante).

Tres bien situé près d’une belle plage et restaurants. Tout est accessible a pied. Bel hotel, très propre. Bel espace jardin.
Seul point a améliorer, les lits et oreillers pas très confortables. Et mal insonorisé.

Struttura molto ben curata, camere molto belle, ariose e molto pulite. Personale molto gentile ed attento. Struttura con molta privacy e di un certo livello, in una piccolo contesto molto riservato in cui non mancavano però una buona spiaggia, servizio ombrelloni, lettini, minimarket, affitto gommoni, negozio suvenir e acquisti., ristoranti. La strada per arrivare non è delle più agevoli ma si rivela molto suggestiva e panoramica. Abbiamo soggiornato 14 giorni svolgendo diverse attività ricreative e riposandoci.

From the moment I contacted the hotel- several days before check in - to inquire about transportation to the area Maurizio began his very best to help my travel be as comfortable as possible. From booking to check out, the experience was 5 star! It is also fabulous of couples and families. I travel around the world a lot as a solo traveler, and this was my best experience so far! I also stayed in a few places on the island of Elba, before landing here, and this is the BEST part of the island. Not only are the beaches the most beautiful but the hotel itself and the garden surrounding are a tranquil respite from tourists, noise, heat and traffic. I woke up every morning to the sound of birds, soft waves crashing on rocks and the smell of fresh croissants cooking downstairs. The included breakfast it amazing and the staff are ready, when you are, to help you book at the best restaurants nearby or in other towns on the island. *pro tip: if you let them book you a table, you get the best table, service and a discount. I felt like I was on a honeymoon for myself! Stop your search, stay here!
