The staff was not friendly at all. Check in was extremely difficult, it states that there’s a front desk to check in at, but in fact, there’s no front desk at all. You need to WhatsApp message a number in order to get the codes, and they didn’t respond for a long time. We were stuck sitting outside for 2 hours with our luggage. Additionally, they still falsely advertise the property as a “bed and breakfast” but there’s no breakfast. Lastly, they are not accommodating at ALL if you need a late checkout or need to leave your luggage at the property for a few hours … instead, if you are FIFTEEN (15) minutes late leaving the property in the morning, they charge you an ENTIRE EXTRA NIGHT. Don’t bother staying here.

Unfortunately, this was my least favourite hotel from the 6 I stayed at all over Sicily. Positives: the balcony and view, the cleaning and breakfast staff were very nice, breakfast was included and it was ok, free parking. Negatives: The location is a very steep 25 min walk each way to the main town/ beach area and taxis were expensive for the short distance.(no fault of the hotel and i understand it wouldn't be close to town because it had parking, however i did not realize how steep of a walk it was and the stones on the stairs were slippery and it was very tiring in the heat) The room looked a bit better in the pictures, the bathroom was very small and the toilet was making very loud noises, the owner/manager (don't recall his name) was not friendly. (He sent me a very rude message when asking a few question and then he quickly realized it and deleted it but I had already heard it)

Very disappointing. We didn’t stay and booked somewhere else when we got there. Host were nice though but didn’t have a nice feel due to location and rooms weren’t very good.

Very clean spacious room, great view from the lovely balcony and a short walk into town.

Struttura pulita e con aria condizionata molto efficace. La colazione è buona, con dolci fatti in casa, ideale per una notte e una colazione veloce. Molto comodo il parcheggio. La posizione, però, è un po’ distante dal centro storico e non semplicissima da raggiungere a piedi a causa della salita. La camera era semplice, anche se non del tutto conforme alle foto online, e il bagno risultava piuttosto rumoroso. Nel complesso un’esperienza positiva, con alcuni aspetti che potrebbero essere migliorati.

Room was nice and clean though small. The photos definitely make it look bigger than it is. Also, there is a building that blocks the view of Cefalu. The pictures in the profile are from the best of their rooms, though most of the rooms don’t have that view. The 3 parking spots were taken, especially given that there are many rooms for those three spots. But we were able to park along the wall of the driveway without issue. It is a steep hill getting up and down to the property. It is also a steep hill to walk down into town with about a 12-15 minute walk. The breakfast was good with a nice view over the town.

The listing is super misleading. Says it’s a 10 minute walk to the beach but it’s actually a 20 minute walk down a hill (up hill on the way back). The closet restaurant is a 15 minute walk and there is no transportation (bus taxi etc). Definitely do not recommend if you are not renting a vehicle unless you like walking! We checked in prior to the cleaning staff leaving for the day so had no issues but multiple other guests during our 5 night stay had issues checking in and were not given clear instructions. One guest began ringing the door bell late at night trying to be let in which was super frustrating for us. It’s super noisy with the other guests coming and going so we were constantly woken up throughout the night. Rooms were clean Breakfast was okay for me but my husband loved it. Overall it’s not somewhere I would stay again or recommend to anyone but it was okay and served its purpose for the time we were there.

The worst experience I have had when renting a holiday apartment.The treatment from the host Mirko was appauling and I have never been treated in such a condescending,rude and abrupt manner in all my years of travelling. It all started by him not giving us an access code to enter the property,we thought the keys were enough to open the apartment door but to our surprise there was a security code no one told us about so when we arrived at the apartment at night time we were unable to enter the property,it took us a while to get through the phone for him to answer which caused a bit of anxiety. The apartment is in a very secluded and dark area quite far from town,it takes a good 20-25min to walk up a steep hill and 100 steps which is tough in the heat and at night time there's no lighting so unless you drive I'd stay away from staying in this area. The apartment is basic,with hardly any furniture and the bad very uncomfortable. Very overpriced for what they offer. At breakfast we encountered a very rude staff member too. When we left the property I contacted the owner personally to express my disappointment about our stay and his response was shockingly defensive and abusive.He replied with some horrible personal comments that left me extremely offended by his unpleasant and aggressive attitude. I reported him to Expedia to make sure other guests do not have to deal with such a terrible level of customer service.

View was great. Towels smelled. No hot water. Bathroom tiny. No Bidet. No fridge in room. Flickering lights. Noisy plumbing! You hear everyone using water because of the water pump noise. Even in the middle of the night. Just inconvenient to walk into town all the time. Hardly any lights down the trail/some lights not working. Also. Balcony chair cracked. They fixed with a tie wrap. 😅 their shower area in bathroom is tiny. Woodwork door jam is falling apart. Some woodwork you can tell just placed. Not glued or nailed in. Staffing could use a smile.... just like it says guest house. Hardly feeling like a guest. Breakfast. Bread was stale . Cleaning people run the place. /they are the receptionist/cleaners/people to ask all the question. This place needs some professional help. At the end. The smelly stain looking towels was probably the worst part.

Great view and location

Wij zijn positief ingestelde mensen en klagen niet snel, maar willen wel waar voor ons geld. Er wordt geschreven dat het 10 minuten lopen is naar jet strand , is wel meer en er wordt niiet verteld dat het verblijf op een berg ligt en dus een behoorlijke klim naar boven. De foto,s van het ontbijt zijn lichtelijk overdreven. Idd het uitzicht is leuk, maar de broodjes, kaas etc hebben wij niet gezien Ook het ontvangst was heel slecht, spraken heel gebrekkig Engels en de vriendelijkheid was ver te zoeken. Ze waren meer met hun telefoon bezig dsn dat zich bekommerden om hun gasten. Nogmaal heel matig verblijf

The property is in an excellent location, all within walking distance to bars, restraints and Cefalu's historic center. Also very close to the beach!

Very nice overall.

The property had all the amenities we were looking for including a great sea view common balcony to watch sunsets and enjoy a bottle of wine. We were 10 to 15 minute walk to Cefalù beach which was great! Cefalu has lots of character and certainly worth a visit. The free breakfast was very good and the kitchen fridge was stocked with beer, soda and water at very reasonable prices. Mirko was very responsive will all communications. We would definitely recommend Ma&Mi Guest House.

Amazing views and a quick easy 10-15 minute walk from the town

It’s ok for a short stay. The rooms are small. Breakfast buffet is limited. 10-15 min walk to the center. Parking was easy but it was quiet when we went.
