Nice hotel in a good central location. Very comfortable bed, had a great sleep.

Nice location-I wouldn't call it "close" to the train station since it's a half hour walk. Great staff, comfortable room, right around the corner from the Roman Theatre and very much where the action is.Overall pleasant stay.

A smart modern decorated hotel in a good location The Modernist ticked all our boxes. Nice air conditioned rooms, comfortable beds and walk in shower that was hot and working. Lifts to all floors. Breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold, fruit juices, pastries and cold meats. Cappuccinos and Americanos on request were very good. Well stocked bar on the ground floor breakfast room for evenings and occasional music entertainment held there. Young reception team were always smiling, welcoming and ready to help. One issue with a leaking sink was resolved quickly. Negatives were not much wardrobe space for two people. TV did not give any English speaking channels and the bathroom towels were on a high shelf opposite the shower that my vertically challenged wife struggled to reach but nothing serious. Would have liked more fridge space to store our water - stocked with alcoholic drinks etc to be paid for which we didn’t use. Overall a nice comfortable stay.

Very nice room. Hotel in great location, though it is on a very busy street. Valet parking nice but quite pricy (38 euros per day).

Overall this is a nice hotel. The big upside to me is that it is was very quiet and had the best sleep of this trip. Even though my room got quite warm at time because the AC was not on yet (traveled in May). The hotel is convenient and easily walkable to a number of city sites. The breakfast was fine and the staff quickly replaced items as they were depleted. The front desk was very helpful in making suggestions and recommendations. The bathrooms are tiny, even by European norms. I’m not a big guy but felt like I needed a shoehorn to get in/out of the shower. The security safe is comedically small—the Fiat Panda of hotel vaults—if you are traveling with a laptop or tablet no way in the world is it fitting.

Zimmer war modern, etwas klein, aber ausreichend. Zur Straße bei offenem Fenster Straßenlärm, sofern man empfindlich ist. Tolle Bar und gute Drinks. Super zentral gelegen

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Internet was flaky and intermittent. Bedside table was very wobbly and sagged to one side.

Front check-in staff to the bar staff were great! Everyone was helpful. Rooms were large and immaculate. We would come back to the same hotel.!

È stato tutto perfetto e il personale è stato pronto a mettersi a disposizione per risolvere un problema che avevamo in stanza (avevamo il getto del condizionatore che puntava sul letto. Penso però sarebbe da risolvere in modo definitivo). L'unica cosa che mi ha deluso è stata chiedere un extra al prezzo della prima colazione, per avere una spremuta di arancia. Il prezzo della colazione non è basso; non credo possa essere un problema far rientrare anche una spremuta in quella cifra. Ma temo sia una pratica abbastanza diffusa. Comunque, a parte questo, la permanenza è stata bellissima e ci tornerò sicuramente.

Great location close to shops, restaurants and tours. Hotel staff friendly and courteous and have a smorgasbord breakfast at adjoining Bistro for 16 euro. Big disappointment was the quality of food and lack of fresh fruit and vegetables. Had dinner at three different venues around hotel with very average offerings at high price (20 - 30 Euros each).

Hotel did not tell us we had to pay a city tax until we left. Why did they not charge us this when we checked it??? Normally you can leave a hotel without checking out. We travel all over the world.
