My experience was very enjoyable. The staff were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The resort was clean. My room was comfortable except for the hard mattress.

Wonderful resort. Great time to reset with family. The beach was turquoise and clear. The food options great and the staff attentive and friendly. Would visit again! It’s worth the price. Did not regret the money spent. Could have stayed longer.

It was good! My only complaints are that the bathrooms are located at the rear of the property. They are far from beach/buffet and all day time activities. And I don’t know why, but the staff tending the bar closest to the beach were extremely rude to me. Fair price, fair property.

Excellent food. Wonderful beach. The hotel should not raise red flag and cancel kayak and paddle board programs when waves are less than 8 inches high though.

The property is very clean, the staff is friendly. The food was good. Only little disappointment was: the 24 hours cafe did not have breakfast food at 6:30 am - we had to leave at 7 am and did not have time to have breakfast at Negril buffet.

This was my second trip to this resort. They don't disappoint. I am so happy I returned. The food options are plentiful and the drinks while watered down still hit the spot. The staff is top notch and my hat is off to the training team. I will definitely come back.

Beach at RIU was amazing and a fracton of the beach hustlers when compared to 7 mile!

Great experience

If you just like an all inclusive experience and laying in the sun, then it’s perfect for you. If you like more to a vacation than that, then I could not recommend this place. Drunk people all over, bad food probably because drunk people won’t notice. The hotel itself is clean and nice with good rooms. The beach is also great, there’s just nothing besides to do there. Had to go far away for activities, so for that reason I prefer Ocho Rios.

Dear Expedia Family I wanted to share my experiences from our trip to Jamaica, which began on March 24th, 2025. Overall, it was quite an adventure! Our arrival at Montego Bay airport went smoothly around 3:30 PM. However, the taxi ride to Negril took three hours and 45 minutes, much longer than the anticipated one hour and 45 minutes due to Monday rush hour. RIU Tropical Bay was very welcoming. The buffet was consistently the best dining option throughout the week. Making reservations at the themed restaurants was challenging, but we managed to try the steakhouse and Japanese restaurants. Unfortunately, the food at both was subpar. The highlight for food was the Jerk shack, with fresh jerk chicken, sausage, and pork riblettes, which we enjoyed daily. The entertainment was spectacular, especially the steel band. Housekeeping was excellent, and the hotel was very clean. The beach was amazing, although there were many vendors. One disappointment was that some staff members had high expectations for tips. This was frustrating, especially at the steakhouse, where an employee got angry when we didn’t tip due to the poor food quality. Despite these issues, we plan to return. Next time, we'll stick with the buffet and Jerk shack and definitely visit Rick's Cafe, which we highly recommend. Best regards, Robert

Beautiful beach with friendly staff always asking if we needed anything to make our stay as enjoyable as it could be. Very clean in every area, from beach, restaurants, washrooms and rooms. Definitely recommend this location.

Property was beautiful and beach access was great! Even though the food was good, I would have liked healthier food options. The staff is absolutely amazing!! Very welcoming and friendly. Kept us entertained all the time. We will definitely visit again!
