Very surprised and impressed by this place. It’s a whole house, Japanese style, modern remodel inside, 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 family and dining room, full kitchen, very spacious. Located at the end of the famous Yanagi machi, or Willow Street, is at the foot of Shiroyama, Castle Mountain. Walking distance to all sightseeing places and restaurants, so convenient. Super friendly neighbors and staff, An immersed experience with Japanese life and culture.

This house was such a pleasant surprise. It has been beautifully renovated to have modern conveniences while not losing the traditional Japanese feel. The double height ceiling in the lounge/dining is particularly lovely. The staff who met us to check-in where lovely and even helped us to organise low cost parking at a local Onsen. It is a short walk to the main attractions in town and the area is quiet. It is a great option if you are staying with a family or a group of friends as there is plenty of space. I would highly recommend staying here.
