If you’re reading a review for a property in Shimokitazawa it may be useful to confirm the area is a great hub for a trip to Tokyo - great transport connections to both west and east, neighbourhood vibe but with plentiful entertainment and interesting shopping.
The apartment is 10 minutes from the station and easily walkable to shops and restaurants yet it is in a very quiet street. It is clean and well equipped with an attentive host - a full size washing machine and fridge were appreciated and there is a full set of cooking equipment. Wifi worked well as did the aircon.
This stacks up very well against a “business hotel” option in terms of price but with much more room and of course, there are few accommodation options in such easy reach of Shimokitazawa. This makes it an excellent choice for a couple who need a bit more space as a base for a Tokyo visit or for anyone who wants to try out the neighbourhood for more than a day trip.
Note this would work for a family of 3 maybe with a younger child (5 ) but you’d be a bit pushed at 3 adults. One or two guests is perfect. I’d certainly consider this as an option for my next visit.

This is the place to stay if you are staying in Shimokitazawa. The apartment is exceptionally furnished, clean, and is very peaceful. I appreciated the host’s kindness and attention to detail.
It is walking distance from the train station and many convenience stores.
I am definitely coming back here the next time I’m in the area.
