My stay at Diamonds Dream of Africa was unfortunately a very mixed experience. We arrived late and, despite it being my birthday, our room was not ready upon arrival. The reception staff was not particularly welcoming, and the reception area itself appeared quite dirty, which immediately affected the first impression. There also seemed to be very few staff available during our stay, possibly because there was a team-building event ongoing at the hotel. The food experience was also disappointing. The menu choices were limited, and overall the food felt very basic for a resort of this standard. There is definitely room for improvement in both quality and variety. Housekeeping and guest support were quite poor. On our second day, our room was cleaned very late, and despite calling reception several times requesting basic items like soap and slippers, no one came to assist us. We eventually had to physically go to reception ourselves. At one point, we also had no water in the room. We informed reception, but there was little urgency or follow-up to check whether we were okay. The birthday experience was also mishandled. My friend had organized a surprise cake and birthday song for me, but the staff unfortunately ruined the surprise by repeatedly coming to our table, twice, asking who the birthday girl was. They then brought the cake and singing while I was still eating and seemed unable to wait until we had finished dinner. To make matters worse, they came while my friend was

Die Anlage ist wunderschön, der Garten ist sehr gepflegt, die Gebäude/Restaurants, Zimmer und Pools sind toll und in gutem Zustand. Das Essen war lecker, auch relativ abwechslungsreich. Das Einzige was gefehlt hat, war frischer Fisch am Buffet. Es gab immer nur Fleisch und/oder Gemüse. Zur Abwechslung kann man in die beiden a la carte Restaurants, das Essen hier war ok, bzw. lecker im „Fine dining restaurant“ Was jedoch total enttäuschend war, ist der nicht vorhandene Strand bei Flut. Es gibt zwar erhöht einen künstlichen Strand aber das Meer ist arg verdreckt und durch einen hinzulaufenden nahegelegenen Fluss ist das Wasser sehr verschmutzt und schaumig, sodass man leider kein einziges Mal ins Meer zum schwimmen gehen konnte. Bei Ebbe ist das Wasser so weit draußen und noch schmutziger und lädt auch nicht zum Baden ein. Trotzdem hatten wir 5 sehr schöne und entspannte Tage.

Bar well stocked cleaning staff excellent. Reception needs better trained staff who are committed to customers basic requirements. All accept Dennis he was top class.

It's a beautiful place but the entrance to our room smelled terribly and never improved. Nearly every restaurant checkout encounter is extremely prolonged. And although the pools are gorgeous, you are not allowed in them past 6 pm, which just feels wrong on vacation.

All inclusive

The private pool is not something I have come across before and it turned out to be a pretty special feature. The only minor letdown was the room itself. It was very dark almost dungeon like and why they put a bed that you need a ladder to get into is just beyond me. I even feel its unsafe especially for older patrons and children. Overall I would rate it at 7.5 out of 10.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Diamond Resort in Malindi, and I can confidently say it was one of the best all-inclusive experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and pampered. The resort itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds, spacious and comfortable rooms, and breathtaking views of the ocean. The all-inclusive package truly exceeded my expectations. The variety and quality of food were outstanding — from fresh seafood to international cuisines, every meal was a delight. The bars offered a fantastic selection of drinks, and the attentive bartenders always made sure our glasses were never empty. Would stay there again! Highly recommended.

I would say this is a really nice place if you want to have a really good holiday as a family coming from Europe or another foreign country however it is less suitable for solo travellers. as some other reviews have pointed out the service is below standards and even though it is not really bad either they have been a number of occasions where for example a female waiter has aggressively removed dishes from my table along with weird looks and we had reactions when I wanted to have a specific table as opposed to the table they had a mind. now these are minor things if you want to have a good holiday but since you are paying for that I unfortunately have to say the service isn't actually good. then also the front desk is unprofessional and has a lot of stereotypes I wanted to invite my girlfriend for one day to visit me since I wanted to share the experience with her and the front desk person made a really strange remark about how this girl would also have to eat when I wanted to negotiate the rates. I understand that there's a lot of sex tourism in the coast area but you cannot assume that every white and black mixture is somehow connected to financial gain. an additional problem I had was the jacuzzi wasn't working and it took them multiple days and multiple complaints to do something about it however after having politely told someone who apparently was now the right person they actually upgraded me to a room with a private pool which was actually a nice gesture

La migliore esperienza provata in qualsiasi resort , staff super gentile e sempre pronto a risolvere se hai qualche problema , cibo veramente buono sia italiano che per il resto delle altre cucine , il miglior all inclusive che abbia ottenuto , non paragonabile ad altri resort , tornerò di sicuro

Veramente un ottima Esperanza nel periodo di maggio “ bassa stagione “ abbiamo iniziato il nostro soggiorno con Alcuni problemi con la tv e il frigo che non funzionavano bene , ma lo staff ha risolto immediatamente , veramente contenti , per quanto riguardo il cibo veramente buono e staff super cordiale , super consigliato per italiani

Great place to stay in Malindi

Diamonds ett fantastisk ställe att spendera några dagar. Trevliga fina välskötta områden och poolområden varierande. Närheten till staden. Trevlig och serviceinriktad personal

The meals are quite expensive, they should consider reviewing downwards. It’s not sustainable.

It's just the sheer beauty of the place...
