From the service to the property to the food, all was perfect. Kind people, nice amenities, and delicious food. Ten out of ten, I’d definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel - gorgeous gardens and lovely low rise buildings - immaculately maintained and cleaned - very big and comfortable rooms Excellent food - even for vegan (except vegan desserts which they don’t do) but overall food was superb The pool is gorgeous, so is the beach (although not great for sea swimming, its way too shallow) and there are loads of loungers so lots of space Restaurant serving staff, cooks, cleaners and gardeners are lovely and helpful. Reception are a bit grumpy. Negatives: main problem is the airport transfer service from Ukundu which is about 6 miles away. Pinewood present this on their website and listings as an inclusive service available to guests; we had 4 phone calls organizing transfer taxis and nobody mentioned an extra charge; when I checked out they charged me an extra USD $40 which is more than double UK prices for such a short journey and for Kenya prices this is an astonishing rip off. Strongly recommend anyone else not to use Pinewood’s transfer service. the quality of the coffee is poor - in a coffee producing country this should be improved The bathrooms only have cheap generic shampoo dispensers which is a let down as otherwise the rooms are great. They need to invest in premium branded products.

Fantastic staff,very helpful and friendly

The staff are one of the biggest assets of this hotel. The are super friendly and helpful. We could not fault them.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Pinewood Beach Resort. Everything was great, everyone in the staff was helpful, warm and welcoming, the buildings and decorations are inspired by local traditions. Food was excellent. Loved having dinner on the beach! Last but not least the beach and the garden is incredible beautiful. Will definitely come back!

Das Pinewood Resort ist ein sehr schönes Hotel mit ausgesprochen freundlichem Personal. Wir haben uns während unserem Aufenthalt sehr wohl gefühlt und waren mit dem Zimmer mit Meerblick wahrlich zufrieden. An Essen und Getränken fehlt es dann dem tollen Personal nie, lediglich im Restaurant beim Abendessen und Frühstück ist es immer sehr warm da es weniger Durchzug gibt. Besonders empfehlenswert ist das Dinner am Strand am Dienstag und Donnerstag! Herzlichen Dank an das ganze Team und besonders James und Grace!

Home freshly cooked natural food not an e number in sight. Lovely relaxed atmosphere,. Spacious bedroom and balcony. Considerate owners who we think have got it just right. Wonderful staff etc etc

Good ambiance

Spent three nights with my six years old son after a safari. Great beach, amazing staff, good food. We did not even go out from resort during our stay.

Someone that work at the property (I think someone working housekeeping) stole $100 out of my purse that was in the room. I reported it to the property and they asked me if I used the safe and I told them that my partner did and that my money was stolen out of my purse that was in the room. They told me that it is rare and I should have used the safe. How terrible. No apology or anything. I shouldn’t have to take every dollar out of my purse and lock it away everytime I return back to the resort. I was there celebrating my birthday not being a guard for my personal belongings inside of my a room I paid thousands for. Will never visit this resort again!! And what a shame because the kitchen staff were so nice

We loved our stay. Nice rooms, really good food and super friendly staff. Definitely would go back.

All the staff were professional, polite and very graceful. The front desk ,the bar service and the dining staff both for breakfast and dinner were friendly and very personable. I appreciated that they moved us to a suite (to accommodate one more person ) and upon welcoming me us there was a sign at the main entrance with my family’s name and our USA flag welcoming us. That was quite surprising and a great touch. Will definitely recommend and stay again. Best PEREZ/ USA

My stay at the Pinewood was amazing. Although the public areas are a little bit dated the quality of the rooms and the exceptional service by all the staff was above my expectations. From the gardeners to the chefs everyone goes out of their way to make your stay very memorable. I am sure if you choose the Pinewood you won’t be disappointed. I will return for sure! Great job everyone, especially the owner for creating such a special place with special people.

A tranquil stay in beautiful surroundings. Excellent communal areas, easy access to good beach. High standard and good choice of food for half board. Good selection available for other meals if required. Reasonable prices for drinks. Convenient transfer back to local airstrip. A small, well appointed boutique hotel. Best of all, excellent staff and service.

Sehr gutes Boutique Hotel. Zuvorkommendes und hilfsbereites Personal. Essen war auch sehr gut und trotz den wenigen Gästen vielseitig. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen.
