Lovely hotel high up on the mountain side with an amazing view of the valley and Luxembourg on the other side of the river. The breakfast buffet was hardy and delicious, and the dinner one of the best I had in Europe! The natural setting was breathtaking. The infinity pool on the bottom floor has a great view of the valley, as well. The town had some fun places to explore, and it is just a short drive to Echternach on the Luxembourg side, which has a courthouse originally built by Charlemagne. If you visit the Waldhotel Sonnenberg, be sure to try their local honey. It is some of the best I’ve ever had! Available in the lobby.

I'll start by saying that I'm not a comfortable complainer. I also don't like to leave generally negative reviews, but I can only speak as I find. I've spent a month touring Europe alone on my motorbike so I've spent a lot of time (and money) on various styles of hotels with varying price brackets. First the positives - front of house staff were friendly and the view was main selling point. The negatives - - My room was not clean, especially the bathroom. Sink and toilet stained and the bin not emptied from previous occupant who had left a big clump of trimmed pubic(?) hair. - No air conditioning doesn't really bother me, as long as I can leave a window or door open to get some fresh air. I had my door open for an hour in the evening and the room became infested with many different types of bugs... I mean literally crawling everywhere. - The food was poor, steak overcooked, breakfast options not great compared to every other hotel I stayed at during a month of travelling and 15 different hotels. I also felt quite ill the next day and think it was the food that caused that. - Price. Given this hotel is double the cost of other hotels I've stayed at nearby in Vianden where I have stopped many times during previous trips, I'd expected standards above those places, not lower. I did flag the cleanliness issue to the manager at check out, which I don't normally do. He took the point but said nothing he could do & I should have said earlier. Really, could have been much better!

Was super! Ontbijt was in orde en je kon er veel gaan doen.

Prima ligging met mooi uitzicht over de vallei, kamers zijn ruim met mooi sanitair en schoon.

Heel simpel oud hotelletje ,goed als je een paar dagen de omgeving wil herkennen. Kamer was ouderwets maar goed genoeg.we lagen net aan een entree doorgangdeur naar de gang. Dus veel lawaai naast ons deur maar ook boven en naast. In hotelgedeelte kon ik de spinnenwebben tellen. Vriendelijk personeel.

De beschikbaarheid, prijs, en voorzieningen waren prima. De kamers zijn wel wat gedateerd maar dat heeft ook wel zijn charme op deze zeer mooie locatie.

Stayed one night very comfortable very clean balcony overlooking beautiful nature reserve it was handy having a restaurant on site if you don’t what to drive into the town evening meal lovely as was breakfast very friendly people would definitely stay again

Vanaf het restaurant kun je fijn uitkijken over het dorpje en omgeving (zeer leuk 's avonds). 's Ochtends heb je prima ontbijt, redelijk veel keuze ook. De kamer is niet modern, maar de bedden slapen heerlijk, de kamer is schoon en de badkamer is dan wel weer modern met een heerlijke douche. Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk. Het enige mindere; wij waren te voet en dan is het hotel wel een beetje ver lopen, want het ligt een stuk hoger als het dorpje Bollendorf zelf.

Wij hebben genoten van het uitzicht op vallei en dorp Bollenberg - hotel laat niets te wensen over : goed uitgeruste kamer met balkon, ontspanning mogelijk in zwembad en sauna, goede lokale keuken met verse ingrediënten, vriendelijke bediening door allen - overal wifi

Hotel met goede uitvalswegen om dagtrips te maken,

Wij hadden een kamer aan de achterkant, s’avonds en s,morgens vroeg veel lawaai. Storend!!!!

Ils avaient un peu loupé la réservation : 1 chambre au lieu de 2, pour 2 couples. Ils nous ont octroyé une suite 2 chambres superbes, 2 salles de bain, salon, living, cuisine et super terrasse avec vue sur la vallée. Excellent séjour, on y retournera
