We recently stayed here for our honeymoon and overall it was an okay experience. Not bad, but definitely not what we expected. Unfortunately, around 80% of the staff weren’t friendly and rarely greeted or smiled, which made the atmosphere feel a bit cold. A few staff members really stood out for their kindness though. Especially Raven, Suraj, and the bell boy (man). They were genuinely lovely and helpful and we appreciated their warmth. Breakfast was average, with limited variety, but the included dinner was surprisingly lovely and enjoyable each night. We had requested a nice sea view for our honeymoon, but sadly a large tree completely blocked the view from our room, which was quite disappointing given the occasion. Overall, it was a decent stay, but with a little more friendliness and attention to detail, it could have been so much better.

Very nice, food and staff is fantastic. A quiet area, but 2-3 minutes by buss take you to Gran Baie, slightly more busy. To go to the nice beach just across from the hotel, there is a bit of rockclimbing, but worth it.

Kept harassing my girlfriend and me. Staff knocked on our door every 5 minutes and wouldn't leave us alone.

Das angebotene Zimmer (219) war völlig inakzeptabel. Die Eingangstür klemmte so stark, das man sie nur mit größer Gewalt öffnen oder schließen konnte. Die Klimaanlage im Eingangsbereich defekt. Die Teppichumrandung vom Bett war ekelerregend dreckig. Nach mehrmaligen Beschwerden, wurde uns ein anderes Zimmer zugeteilt (Zimmer 220), welches annehmbar erschien. Jedoch verteilte sich ein stark beißender Abwassergeruch aus dem Bad im ganzen Raum und rief einen starken Brechreiz hervor. Also, wieder Zimmerwechsel (201), war ok. Extreme Lärmbelästigung, von der sehr stark befahrenen Straße direkt vor dem Hotel. Schlaf nur sehr eingeschränkt möglich. Das Hotel steht nur in der Zweiten Reihe, daher der Meerblick etwas eingeschränkt. Die Bilder auf den Buchungsseiten bilden nicht die realen Verhältnisse und den wahren Zustand der Unterkunft ab. Die Aussicht vom Pool ist sehr schön, jedoch wurde auch hier auf eine schattenspendende Ausstattung verzichtet. Die Zimmerreinigung an sich, ist in Ordnung. Jedoch waren wir ständig gezwungen einen Mitarbeiter zu suchen, um die fehlenden Utensilien einzufordern.(mal Handtücher, mal Waschlotion, mal Haarwäsche). Bei täglicher Wiederholung des gleichen Problems, entsteht der Eindruck einer gewissen Gleichgültigkeit. Das Frühstück ist durchschnittlich und nicht der Rede wert. Die oben beschriebenen Sachverhalte deuten darauf hin, dass die Qualität des gesamten Hotels nicht durchgängig den Standards eines 4 Sterne Hotels entspricht.

The location, the staff, the view, all of this lead to a memorable experience!

Hôtel was lovely, views from the rooftop at breakfast and from the pool were the highlight for me. Room was spacious. Staff were very attentive, more than you would expect in this kind of hotel, which was not really for me, but some people like that level of service. Note long trousers and closed shoes if you want to eat dinner at the hotel (we didn't have either). Walking distance to the beach and the few restaurants in town (recommend the Cloud) and good parking if you have your own car.

Bad experience, food poisoning from the buffet breakfast, this is only the beginning lifts out of use, needs updating, bathroom extractor not able to turn off, electrical switches not able to work out with a warm mini bar. But not able to brush teeth or shower or have bath because of brown water from tap.. not except-able under any circumstances. A waist of money and would not recommend

We loved our stay at Ocean V. The rooftop restaurant and bar is amazing with spectacular 180 degree views. Perfect boutique hotel catering for adults only.

Staff were polite and very accommodating. Property has beautiful rooftop views of the local beach and nice spa facility. Traffic can be a little noisy from the main road at times
