Filthy place. Not half what is advertised. Dirt pool, dirty fridge. No free wifi no free cable tv, not even a bed sheet to cover during the night. 2 towels for 4, of which one scratched. Safety concerns with broken elec near the pool. Room not ready on arrival, breakfast not ready the next day (very basic) birds eating the pervious day leftovers in the restaurant kitchen, not clean either.

Die Villen bieten sehr viel Platz (3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder, 1 Extra-WC). Der Privatpool und das gepflegte Grün drum herum waren eindeutig ein Plus! Die Küche ist einfach ausgestattet; manche Kochutensilien fehlen. Bei dem dazugehörigen Restaurant kann man unheimlich gut und auch preiswert Essen gehen! Das inkludierte Frühstück ist ein Minibuffet (Toast, 1 Marmelade, Butter, lecker Obstsalat, Pfannkuchen, Kastenkuchen, Tee, Kaffee). Auf Wunsch werden Eierspeisen frisch zubereitet. Die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber, die auch gerne beim Organisieren von Touren und Transfers behilflich sind, muss erwähnt werden. Bei dieser Unterkunft hat man eine große Privatsphäre auf der einen Seite (durch den Platz, den Privatpool mit großzügiger Terrasse und die Möglichkeit der Selbstversorgung), aber auch den familiären Anschluss durch die freundlichen Gastgeber auf der anderen Seite. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Hinweis: Zum Strand sind es fußläufig 6-8 Minuten. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Küstenstraße. Den Verkehr bekommt man ein wenig mit.

Die Villas sind durch eine Straße vom Meer getrennt. Der Public Beach ist direkt gegenüber, zwischen 2 Hotels gelegen und in 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Villas sind sehr groß und problemlos für eine 6-köpfige Familie oder 2 bis 3 Pärchen zu bewohnen. Einige Einrichtungsgegenstände sind in die Jahre gekommen und die Kochausstattung ist etwas spärlich (eine Pfanne, ein Topf), aber wenn etwas fehlt, muss man sich melden und es wird besorgt. Das Frühstück ist landestypisch auf gehobenem Niveau. Das Essen im eigenen Restaurant ist sehr gut und wird auch gerne von umliegenden Hotelgästen in Anspruch genommen. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der eigene Pool vor jeder Villa ist natürlich nicht zu verachten und wurde von uns gerne genutzt.

The staff was extremely helpful,private swimming pool is a big advantage! Cleaning every day, 5 mins from the public beach. Breakfast was quite poor, not enough variety, without own car difficult to get to the nearest town to do shopping or reach some bars.

If you don't have high expectations you shouldn't be disappointed. The villa is a good size for a family of 4 and the pool is good for a cool down or play with smaller kids. Not for 'swimming' though. The restaurant serves a variety of tasty food and friendly staff. We ate there regularly, though sitting at the same table for breakfast we saw that on most occasions the table hadn't been cleaned from the night before. Not such a big deal for us but I'm sure would be for others. Breakfast was limited and at times crawling with ants though, to be fair, that could be down to the lack of care taken by other residents. Cereal (2 types), fruit salad, pancakes (not always available for us), some sort of savoury offering, a juice, toast and jam ....but you're able to order an omelette which helped me for sure. Friendly an amenable hosts seemingly keen on ensuring your stay is a good one. Special mention for staff members Avis and Catherine

Amazing place amazing people can’t wait to go back again

Nabijheid strand 24/7 bewaking/omheind terrein Staat meubelen/inrichting: aantal zaken beschadigd en ontbreken. Mooie omgeving, veel natuur en mooi strand Seasons restaurant prima, uitgebreide kaart. Eigenaar echte gastheer, hij maakte met zijn warme welkom in het restaurant onze rommelige checkin meer dan goed. Mbt ontvangst, in bevestiging stond checkin via Seasons maar daar werden we weggestuurd naar ingang villaterrein. Ontvangst villa heel vluchtig, geen tour. Medewerker bleek 1e dag te hebben. Houd rekening met heel beperkt serviesgoed, schoonmaak villa niet naar westerse maatstaven (bezem/mop), geen oven. Bij navraag blikopener en droogrek zijn deze geregeld. Fijne service.

The villa was nice and spacious and very well laid out. It was private and a relaxing place to stay. The three bedrooms all had double beds in them, it would be better for us if one of the rooms has two single beds in it rather than a double, as we were travelling with three children. The villa could do with a re-decoration inside as it is becoming to look a bit tired and worn. Nothing that a bit of paint could not sort out. Also it does really need a deep clean and the en-suite shower cubicle tray could do with replacing. Nothing excessive to bring the standard back up. The advertised WIFI is intermittent and slow and needs bringing up to today's expected standards. The Owner of the property and the staff are very friendly and genuine people and will do anything to help you. There is an excellent restaurant on site and the staff and food are excellent.

The property and location was good. The property was spacious & very good privacy. I did not like the cutlery provided- we had 4 mugs and 3 of them were chipped & stained. We could easily get hurt. I did not like the fact that towels are not changed on a daily basis. The staffs were very helpful especially the security guy. He was very helpful as well as the kitchen staff. Breakfast was good - but they could make a slight change to the menu daily. I had to see the owner at her villa for check in. There is also a lack of leaflets on what to do around. Overall I had a good stay at the Orchid Villa and would probably go again as the villa itself is very good.

The owner and his staff displayed the greatest hospitality I've encountered on the island. The food on site was amazing and the value for the price can't be beat. Would definitely stay there again!

Séjour agréable..bonne compréhension des propriétaires

When travelled on road by car, I liked the greenery view mostly sugarcane plantation. Vegetables & fruits such as pineapple, lychee & mangoes. Smooth traffic on the road. People are very cool. Beach with white sand and very clean. Blue bay very nice and bottom glass boat excellent to seen many types of coral and colour fishes.

Wir hatten die Villa zu dritt gebucht und hatten jede Menge Platz. Ganz besonders toll fanden wir das Personal, wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und von Chef bis Service und Sicherheitspersonal waren alle stets gut gelaunt und haben uns jeden Wünsche erfüllt (weil unser Ausflug schon früh Morgens startete, wurde uns das Frühstück z.B. schon früher in die Villa gebracht). Der Chef organisierte uns Taxis und Ausflüge, wir durften unsere Koffer noch einen Tag in seinem Haus unterstellen. Die Villen sind sehr großzügig und für den Preis bekommt man mehr als erwartet, nur die Zimmer könnten gemütlicher eingerichtet sein. Klimaanlagen in jedem Raum und umsonst (das ist in dieser Preiskategorie nicht selbstverständlich) Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

The location is fantastic, a short walk to Belle Mare beach which is one of the best in Mauritius - miles and miles of lovely powder white sand and Turquoise Ocean. The villas are spacious and well equipped and offer great value. There is a restaurant on site which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable cost. I cannot speak highly enough about the very friendly and helpful staff who made my stay far more comfortable than I had ever hoped.

We were here with our son and it was a nice stay. The staff was great and the house big and comfatable. We had a beautiful swimingpool at our house and enough sun all day. Only some more kichen gear, would have been helpful with cooking and there was no BBQ.

Belle villa, propre, bon petit dèj, bon accueil, très calme. Proche de la plage à pieds. Idéal pour un week end ou un court séjour 2 voire 3 nuits, si on n'a pas de voiture. On est loin de tout, on est isolé, il faut absolument une voiture si on veut se déplacer et si on souhaite rester plus de 3 jours. Bon dèj mais répétitif toujours le même.
