This property is in a fantastic Oceanside location. Our group of 4 stayed for 2 nights in a standard room. We were next to one of the hot tubs and by a gate to the sea. Great food, great drinks and the staff was very helpful. We had a problem with our door lock and it was taken care of within 15 minutes. We would stay here again.

Firstly, I rarely review any business good or bad, but Hotel Palmas de Cortez was simply appalling. When checking in, the woman at the front desk would only cut us one key card for the room for 3 people. She said come back tomorrow if you want more. She was incredibly rude. When we got to the room, it was a dump. We had a Presidential suite and it was anything but! It was so run down and disgusting we went back to the front desk and asked for another room. We were subsequently shown room that was covered in more dust, had dead insects on the window sills, stunk of mold and didn't look as if it had been cleaned in months! We eventually stayed in the original room as we had no choice. We went out and bought cleaning products from the local supermarket and cleaned the room ourselves to where it was livable. Housekeeping only made the bed and folded the used towels. I deliberately left dust on one of the sofa arms to see if housekeeping would wipe it off during the 6 nights we were there - it was not! The overall hotel is tired and desperately in need of a facelift and someone who cares about the property. The restaurants on site were terrible however the staff at least were pleasant and helpful. The pool bar doesn't serve food - you have to get takeout! The gym was disgracefully filthy - couldn't use it! We've stayed at many properties in Mexico, some good, some bad, but nothing like this! The website portrays the hotel as something entirely different to reality. Stay away!

Clean very large room, lovely pool. Coffee could be better, wifi was very spotty, restaurant was expensive and not very good. No hot water in the room for showers.

We started with Eddie and Punta Colorada…stayed at Palmas many times. Cabin 1 needs to be refreshed…broken tiles and torn drapes… Staff is wonderful as usual. Location is the best…

Really nice pool, bar, restaurant and the beach is amazing. 5 star cleanliness. The only issue we had was a 5 day stay with no hot water in the shower. It was reported with no follow up. I would have given 5 stars across the board if they would have taken care of it. If they communicated back with me I would have given the staff 5 stars

Pretty nice place. Clean rooms and great staff. Our stay was for fishing. There were other activities available too. Would come back.

We absolutely love staying at this property. So convenient for us. Very friendly staff.

Staff are very friendly, food was good, not great, good value. Downside was construction going on during our stay which was noisy and dusty.

This resort is quiet, right on the beach and has a beautiful pool with a swim up bar. The 2 restaurants on site are great! Nice place for groups celebrating a special event or a family trip.

Overall the pool area was nice, kid friendly access, grounds were clean. Our room was dirty, mold growing on ceiling of our bathroom, damaged tiles in our bathroom that were jagged and unsafe, room had a very bright television outside of it that lite it up at night. We were moved to a different room the following day which was better. Food menu was kid friendly but pricing was not, expect to pay $75 CDN for family of 4 (breakfast) and dinner was $150 . They need a kids menu option and more affordable options for breaky. Service was great, staff is friendly and helpful. I would not stay here again.

Great location right on the beach. You are really paying for the location. This is a very quiet hotel and community in general located about an hour from Cabo. The restaurants they have offered a variety of options and the staff at the restaurants were very friendly and accommodating. It was a little cooler and windier during spring break than Cancun. The gym was closed during our stay with no alternative options offered. They do suggest a 10 percent gratuity for the entire stay, which seems high. I’d recommend this property for travelers looking to be away from the hustle of Cabo.

We stayed there for a week, and everything was ready and clean when we arrived. Each day, we were given two bottles of water, which was a nice touch. The pool and hot tub area were always clean and well-maintained, and there was never any noise after 10 p.m.—even before that, it was pretty quiet. The best part was being right on the beach with easy access. It made our stay really relaxing.

Incredibly beautiful place with great food and a friendly staff. The area feels safe and the rooms are much nicer than they look in the posted pictures.
