Beautiful property…the Maya Suites were very nice and recently updated. The food was very good as a whole. The service was also mostly very good. The beach was not very nice during our stay due to the high levels of sargassum…but the pools were great!

Not the fault of the resort but the Sorgassum was horrible and the smell was horrible

The overall experience of the resort was great. Pool beaches and performances were all spectacular. The only bad thing we all said was the booking of the restaurants. We tried to book restaurants on the app and in person and it wasn't working and no one told us that we should do it right away when we get to the resort.

This was our 3rd trip to Maya Suites. We absolutely love everything about this resort! The staff amazing. There is always something new to discover on the resort.

Property is just older

Need more personal like bar tenders big lines and just one bar tender. The food was not that good, Had problems for a reservation in restaurants.Had trouble with transportaion would just pick you up in lobby,if you were walking they would not pick you up.

Nunca me dieron mi botella de vino de cortesia por ser socio Silver, en los baños no limpiaban la tina diario, y como sugerencia se viaja con bebes y las pulseras del hotel los lastiman cuando lo cargaba.

Es el Resort que visitó cada año!! Muy bien todo como siempre delicioso y una muy bonita experiencia. Solo que ojalá puedan cambiar ya las almohadas ya que la mayoría huelen a sudor :( no vayan en junio y julio porque en todo el caribe hay sargazo.

Nuestro cuarto estaba sucio los espejos no los limpiaban por más de un mes podías ver la tierra en los vidrios,todos los pasillos de las habitaciones llenos de platos sucios vasos por días nadie los recogía y los pasillos en toda la semana nunca se barrieron ni trapearon y se veían negros de mugre y muy sucios solo el lobby estaba limpio cada vez hay menos limpieza en estos hoteles y eso es lo que enferma a las personas por eso hay tanta bacteria

Very average resort. I wish there were food options closer to the pools instead of taco stands. The property is kind of confusing .

Beautifully properly. Food was pretty good. Excellent service. Lots of activities for kids. Highly recommend it.

Installations , amenities , all personal working there , so kind and helpful , activities , all was great.

Hotel staff do try to make your stay as easy as possible.

Large centipedes in the room(we understand it’s an island environment) they wouldn’t or couldn’t move us, but fumigated our room while we were there. No VIP Expedia recognition. Had to pay out of pocket almost $400USD from the jewelry store on property as they wouldn’t let us use the entire credit there after being told by the concierge at 62/63 and jewelry shop attendant. We’ve stayed many times at Iberostar, first and last time at Maya!

I read a lot of reviews before booking so to set the record straight: this hotel is massive and excellent for families; the app does work great; the food is outstanding; the push for timeshare is real but I said no politely once and they left me alone; there is a map of the property in the app and you need it; there are so many restaurants and the buffet options are so outstanding and varied than not being able to make reservations for a family of 4 was a non-issue. Size aside, this hotel is truly a gem: the pools, the water park, the activities, the food, the service, the attention to details, the cleanliness and the consistent friendliness of the employees made for a very special trip. The down sides were only the choppy ocean and seaweeds when we were there (can’t control that and the hotel removes seaweeds every morning) and the $45 sunscreen (just pack your own). The night entertainment was okay but the fire shows truly stood out. Other than that, huge kudos for running such a large place with taste and care - and again, for the food alone, this stay was amazing. Will gladly return!

Las áreas verdes y fauna muy bien, en general todos amables, sin embargo en comparación con otros resorts, si es palpable que no son los mas amables. El kids club necesita mas variedad de actividades, y los horarios están hechos para gente no nacional. Les falta alimentos las 24 horas, y los alimentos no son los mas variados ni sabrosos en comparación con otros resorts.
