マヤン・プラヤ・バカラー

Mr.David was the most gracious host. I checked in very late, last minute and he greeted me with a friendly smile and when I asked if the tiki was open he said no BUT then went behind the bar (as the owner can) and found me a cold beverage after my long day of travel. And breakfast was delivered to my room the next morning again with a friendly smile. Room was spotless and in meticulous condition. Cannot wait to go back again. Mr.David was amazing, highly recommend to anyone who loves Bacalar.

The Place Is great to enjoy the lagoon but there's no much to eat there during the day and nothing at all in the night neither in the surroundings. If you have your own car you will no have problem

BEWARE!! Credit Card Fraud and False Advertising I was ready to leave a glowing 10/10 review, but unfortunately, I can’t recommend this property. My credit card was used fraudulently by a local restaurant— I use one card for hotel expenses and a separate one for meals and incidentals. The information of that card was only accessible to the property staff. The card was actually packed in my suitcase when I ate lunch at La Playita (suggested over and over to me by the hotel host). I’m currently in the process of reporting this to Profeco. Also, the property is NOT private beach as advertised. Despite marketing a “private beach” - they sell day passes to the public, turning the space into a crowded beach club until 6PM. As a guest, you don’t private have access to key amenities like the dock, and the peaceful, exclusive experience they promise just doesn’t exist. Be very cautious booking here!!

Una ubicación inmejorable en la laguna. Las habitaciones muy bonitas y espaciosas con vista a la laguna. Cuando regresemos en definitiva será el hotel que elegiremos.

La estadía estuvo muy bien, un lugar tranquilo, seguro y buenas instalaciones y amabilidad del personal. No hay restaurante en el hotel.Considerar que para salir a comer es necesario acercarse en auto al centro.

Extraordinaria estancia para disfrutar de Bacalar lejos del bullicio. Acceso privilegiado a la laguna, imperdible. Ya reservamos para volver!!!

Relaxing

If you are in Bacalar this is a must stay. Best beach on the lake is located here where it's one of the few spots with a sandy walk in beach, impressive water color, and cool pier. It is a small property with only 4 cabins so very peaceful and relaxing. Cabins were very modern with great AC. It is a short drive to the center of town, definitely recommend a car if you are staying. Staff was very helpful with coordinating restaurant deliveries if you don't feel like leaving. Irving at the bar was great and made the best aguachile I have ever had.

Multi-cabin (4 I think) hotel right on a beautiful part of the lagoon. The rooms were clean. Beds were a bit firm and water pressure was very low (sink and shower) but those are the only two negatives. You'll need a car or be willing to bike to get food or do any activities beyond a kayak.

Nous sommes allés en famille au Mayan Playa Bacalar. Nous avons tous beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. De par sa taille, il y a peu de logements, nous nous sommes sentis comme seuls au monde. L'endroit est juste magnifique. A notre disposition une chambre juste splendide qui donne directement sur la lagune. Des transats, des hamacs, des kayaks et des paddles mis à disposition. Juste une précision, l'établissement n'offre pas de service de restauration sur place, nous avions une voiture de location donc ce n'était pas un problème si ce n'est pas votre cas, il faudra compter sur des services de livraison ou retourner dans le centre de Bacalar. En tout cas, n'hésitez pas. c'es vraiment un endroit de rêve!

Beautiful property! The gentleman assisting with kayaks went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. I would definitely come back.

Precioso lugar, apartado del bullicio, muy tranquilo para descansar. El único detalle es que no cuenta con restaurante y está alejado de la ciudad, por lo que hay que llevar algo o pedir de un beach club cercano.

4개의 방갈로로 이루어진 곳으로 조용하고 쾌적하며 호수에 바로 인접해있는 곳입니다. 모든 것이 만족스러웠으나 , 한가지...식사를 하기위해서 차를 이용해서 레스토랑을 찿아 나가야 한다는 점이 조금 아쉬운 점이었어요. 그 외에는 모든것이 만족스러워 다음에도 기회가 된다면 꼭 다시 가보고 싶은 곳이라 추천합니다. 특별히 숙박기감 내내 큰 도움을 주신 David 에게 감사 전합니다.

Feels like it was brand new facilities. Rooms are individual bungalow, spacious. AC works. Beautiful view of the lake. We can hear the water with the door open, mosquito screen closed. There are only 4 units. There are kayaks and pedal boards to use. Hammocks on the dock, although should add more seating there. There's no restaurants on site, but not too far from town to go get breakfast. Coffee was at the front desk area. Staff there was nice, friendly.

Muy bonito, lo recomiendo, pero deberían poner anuncios de no pararse en las rocas porque matan las pocas bacterias que producen oxígeno. Ventiladores en el área de alimentos u recepción así como en el frente de las habitaciones y mosquiteros.
