Ventanas del Mar ist ein besonderer Ort für alle, die Ruhe, Natur und eine abgeschiedene Lage schätzen. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig und abseits, eher wie ein kleines Küstenrefugium oder ein einfaches Fischerdorf als ein klassisches Resort. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Vom Balkon aus hat man einen schönen Blick auf das Meer und hört ständig die Wellen. Das Meer ist oft windig und rau – das sollte man mögen. Uns hat genau das sehr gefallen. Das Bett war sehr bequem, das Zimmer mit Hängematte ein schönes Extra. Der Strand wirkt fast privat, mit Liegen am Strand und am Pool. Der Pool ist klein, herzförmig und passt gut zur entspannten Atmosphäre. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Küche ist abwechslungsreich, mit Pasta-Gerichten, gefülltem Gemüse mit Tomaten sowie frischem Fisch aus dem Meer, serviert mit Kartoffeln oder Püree. Alles war geschmacklich stimmig und hochwertig zubereitet. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Drinks – die Piña Colada war für uns die beste des gesamten Urlaubs. Der Service war herzlich, aufmerksam und angenehm persönlich. Man sollte wissen: Ventanas del Mar eignet sich ideal zum Abschalten. Wer mehr unternehmen möchte, sollte einen Mietwagen oder ein anderes Fortbewegungsmittel einplanen, da der nächste Ort etwa 30 Minuten entfernt ist. In der Nähe gibt es jedoch auch lokale Plätze und Restaurants, die von Einheimischen besucht werden, teils an schönen kleinen Buchten gelegen.

We have stayed here several times and love it every time we come. It is so peaceful. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are great.

Sue Amy was excellent the entire staff was very accommodating and incredibly nice the hotel vibe is so peaceful great coffee and sunrise every morning we have found our new place to call home. Thank you.

First night they were having a wedding and was told we couldn’t eat there.We had to go into town to eat. We had to leave the last night because they were going to shut down because of construction. Was told we would be reimbursed but it hasn’t happened yet

Hotel was beautiful. Service was excellent. Richardo was very helpful though out our stay. He was polite and willing to help with whatever we needed. I definitely recommend this place if you want to get away and relax.

La comida no es buena, está en medio de la nada, lo cual lo hace muy tranquilo y se disfruta mucho, pero moverse a los alrededores es complicado, a menos q rentes auto.

I love the beauty and quietness the ocean sounds is all you can hear from the moment you arrive until you leave but the sound stays with you forever I love this place the staff is so friendly breakfast is my favorite meal I never want yo leave I will stay longer next time

This location is amazing! Isolated, relaxing and kinda rustic. Not really much air conditioning. It only comes on at night. The staff took great care of us.

Beautiful property and very friendly staff

The view was amazing. But the room lacked certain comforts and cleanliness for the price. No tv, no fridge, dirty bathroom and shower. The power also went out multiple times during our stay. We also had no air conditoning until after 9pm. When you pay thar much for a room you should be able to have AC on demand. And with the power outage, we didnt have any AC until like 11pm. They also were going to make us pay for bottled water, and my aunt complained so we didnt have to pay. No other hotel i have stayed at in cozumel made us pay for water and was always give as complimentary. Staff was great. Food was great. Bike rentals were good. Scenery good. Pool was nice. Hotel room, unclean, lacking in certain comforts you would expect for a $300 per night room. Not sure i would reccomend staying here. Although beautiful, price is too high for what you get.

I really love this place. Even though is in the other side of the island, the peaceful atmosphere, the sound of the ocean and the stars in the night sky makes it a great place to stay.

This is a spectacular place. The views are just beautiful. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The beach could use some cleanup. The decking by the pool needs some repair. Great stay!

My wife and I stayed in room 22 for three nights. We were generally pleased with our decision to stay here. This is a place to get away from the crowds. But not to be pampered. Some guests will love this. If your idea of a vacation is to be pampered, this may not be the place for you. Since this is the remote side of the island, most know this already. Pros: The atmosphere is very chill. "adult only" helps with that. The friendly staff always aimed to please. The sandy beach delivers nice ocean to swim in when the winds die down. The restaurant has a nice menu and can be very good. Also very pretty in the evenings and felt comfortable. Views from our room were hard to beat. Room was clean. Pool was clean and pleasant. Cons: Rooms are very basic. Bathroom small and basic. The small pool can get crowded if everyone came at the same time. No bathroom in the common area. If we needed one, we had to return two flights to our room Uggh. (lower floors are better to have). The hotel seems to be run with a skeleton crew. And at peak dining hours, it showed. We often waited longer than we wanted, for drinks or for our food. The effort was always sincere, but with only one server, it was difficult. Quality of food lacked consistency. One night, the pasta was fantastic, the next night, it was not. The tortilla soup was the same. Best I ever had on Monday. What the heck...on Tuesday. We had a rent car and we needed it. All in all: a great place!

Never stayed at this property. I canceled weeks before staying at this property. I don’t understand why you’re company won’t issue a refund and leave me alone.

Loved area. No coffee til 8. Had to make a reservation time to eat and place our order and our order came out wrong, but it was beautiful wonderful quiet and relatively empty right on top of the ocean.

Dinner needs to be as good as it used to be.
