ダル ヌール フェス

We were brought to an entirely different Riad when we arrived - ver confusing. We had communicated with the owner of this Dar earlier in the day before our arrival to confirm when we would be arriving. However, when we arrived we were then told there was an 'issue' with our room and we would be staying in a completely different Riad (owned by the same owner). We booked our room at Dar Nour Fes months in advance, but were brought to an entirely different hotel right when we arrived which was a shock. The owner is a nice man - he even brought us to an amazing restaurant close to the new Riad we were staying at. But, we were unimpressed because our 'new Riad' was over a 10-minute walk through the Medina and we had quite a bit of luggage with us. On top of this, the new room was not what we had paid for at Dar Nour Fes - it was a double bed instead of a king bed, and it didn't have as good reviews online as what we had booked. Very awkward experience overall that I can't recommend - take caution when booking this accommodation.

the Breakfast is excellent and the woman preparing are very nice. Top roof great view of Fes. Good restaurant indication the first night we arrrived although done in a pushy manner. The ‘owner’ came to pick us up from the train station (nice) and helped us with our bags getting to the accommodation (good). Then once at the Riad we witnessed a pushy sales technique, we ‘needed’ to take the day tour of Fes because doing it by ourselves would be ‘illogical’. Then we ‘needed’ to take his recommendation for desert tour for 500Euros per person. the room we reserved from Hotels.com was filled with a family. It appears that the owner is the only one who sees the online bookings and doesnt communicate this to his staff as he’s seldomly at the Riad. We book with hotels because we get to see the exact room we want. That said we selected the larger room, because we wanted more space. The owner blamed this mishap on his staff and their staff blamed the mistake on him. We finally got the room we ordered the following day. We were told that we could move in the very next day. However after breakfast we were told they needed to clean the room before we could move our stuff. Then we were told that the staff would move our bags to the room once it was clean that way we could visit Fes. However when we arrived at the end of our city tour, we found our bags unattended in the main common space. Also the city tax online says 2MAD per night but they told us to pay 2Euros pp per night

El Dar es muy bonito. La habitación amplia y cómoda. Desayuno completo en la terraza con lindas vistas. Destaco la excelente atención de las señoras que sirven el desayuno y la cena. Siempre sonrrientes y cordiales, lo mismo para el sr. Que está durante el día en la puerta de acceso. Cerca de la puerta azul de entrada al zoco. Sin problemas para caminar aunque se encuentre entre callecitas.

Nos gustó la ubicación, la limpieza y las comidas servidas por el establecimiento. Aspectos más desfavorables: no hay ascensor (sería recomendable anunciarlo para personas con problemas de movilidad, ya que las escaleras son estrechas y empinadas). Se nos pidió el pago por adelantado y en efectivo a pesar de que la reserva permitía el pago en el Hotel. Dificultades para pagar con tarjeta (te cobran un suplemento de 5% más)

Il custode e le donne in cucina sono fantastici, ci si sente come a casa, sono accoglienti e cucinano molto bene. L unica cosa che non ci è piaciuta é stato il proprietario, che si è presentato l ultima sera dopo cena, bussando alla nostra porta per chiedere il pagamento della camera. Cosa che era già avvenuto (acquistando il pacchetto volo+hotel il pagamento è immediato). Inoltre la cifra non era esattamente quella del prezzo della camera, ma un 40€ di meno sul totale (differenza non imputabile a costi di servizio Expedia). Dopo varie discussioni e dopo aver fatto vedere che dal sito della banca mi risultava pagato, si è scusato e se n è andato. Per carità, un errore ci può stare, ma troppe cose mi sono sembrate un po' strane e mi hanno fatto pensare a intenti subdoli del proprietario. Potrei sbagliarmi. Fortunatamente la vicenda si è conclusa senza problemi, ma non mi è piaciuta granché
