マラケシュのメディナ内のスークの一角にあるこのリヤド。 ネットの地図で探してもうまく見つからず、不安だったモロッコ初日。 しかし、メールでスタッフから空港からリヤドまでの送迎の誘いをすぐに受け、無事にリヤドに到着することができた。もし、この誘いを受けなければ、リヤドに到着することはなかったと思う。 それくらい、複雑な道のりで、現地人でなければわからない。 その点で、スタッフの好意が評価できる。 ファシリティに関しては、文句はない。 外から部屋の鍵をかけることができない点で不安はあるが、 リヤド自体がこじんまりしていて、他人の部屋に入るような余裕がない。 朝食も、フレンチ形式だが、十分に美味である。 もう一度、マラケシュに来るのならば、利用しても良いのではないかと思われる。

スークの中でいきなり行くのは無理だと思いますが、慣れてしまえばスークの中なので、ショッピングや観光には良い場所です。伝統的な作りをしてるので雰囲気があっていいですよ。シャワー＆トイレはまぁまぁいいですが、シャワーカーテンがないので、トイレ、洗面所周辺までビシャビシャになってしまいました。従業員の方も、とても丁寧に対応してくれるので、ありがたいですよ。

スタッフのHamidさんに大変お世話になりました。広場へのお迎えに始まり、翌朝私が自分で申し込んだツアーの待ち合わせ場所へ連れて行ってくれ、迎えに来ないツアー会社に電話までしてくれたり、ツアーから戻ってきたときにはお茶をいれて私のカタコト英語とのおしゃべりをしてくれたり、帰る時には広場までスーツケースを運んでくれタクシーの値段交渉までしてもらいました。感謝感謝です。 ツアー前後に2泊しましたが、どちらの部屋も素敵でした。あえてもう一歩な点をあげるならWi-Fiがなかなかつながらなかったぐらいです。値段もお手ごろな上、フナ広場から5分ぐらいと便利で、おすすめです。

Do you want to live like 100 years ago deep inside the old Medina, this is the place for you. It was not the most comfortable room - especially the shower facilities were definitely outdated. But it was anyway quite charming and the employees gave an excellent service and support that made our visit rememberable. They guided us on what to see and where to dine, etc., to excellence.

Great location/authentic locale in the heart of Medina. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Mattress/ pillows could use updating but charming overall.

Once in a while you stay at place that goes so far beyond to make you feel comfortable and this is that place. The staff goes out of their way to help in anyway they can. Thank you and I really can’t recommend this hotel any higher.

As a first time single woman in Morocco, this Riad was the perfect one to stay in. Asad gave me a great download of what everyone should know. The information he gave me served me so well throughout my trip. The only area for improvement is the Hammam recommended made me and my friend feel very uncomfortable in pushing us for a tip. Just something to be aware of! :)

Highly recommend, although only a few minutes walk from the spice market, the main square and the myriad of the souks, the Riad is quiet and tranquil. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for the brilliantly knowledgable Abdul, we loved our chats and all of the insights he shared with us. Asad (the owner) made us feel immediately at home in this very traditional Riad, with suggestions of places to eat and to explore. Both Asad and Abdel were available on WhatsApp throughout our stay should we have needed them. If you are looking for a real Riad experience, where you feel part of the family, traditional Moroccan breakfasts from the ladies at the Riad who ensured we were well fed and kept everywhere clean and tidy, to the sights and smells in the markets with a calm home to come back to then this is for you. As a solo traveler I appreciated the hospitality extended to me by Asad who was in communication with me before I even got to Morocco, insuring that all questions were answered. Once there, he was very helpful and provided so much information to help me maneuver and get the most out of my visit to Marrakech. Thanks again also to Abdul who was so very helpful as well. I highly recommend this riad for its convenient access to the medina and Jemaa el-Fnaa and all other points of interest.

What can I say about this Riad that hasn't already been said! My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and the service and hospitality was absolutely incredible, we arrived late at night and were greeted by Abdul in the main square to walk us back to the Riad, Asad then welcomed us into the Riad and prepared a 3 course meal for us, which we had already requested, the communication with Asad prior to arriving was excellent. Anything we needed Asad and Abdul were on hand to accommodate us, whether it was tips on how to haggle, where and what to do, restaurant recommendations etc we felt so at home in the Riad. Special word about Abdul - nothing was too much to ask for and he went over and beyond to look after us, a really great guy. Keep up the good work Asad! If you're looking for a traditional Riad in the heart of the Medina then you can't look past staying here! Can't wait to come back.

Amazing stay in Riad Al Mamoune. A warm welcome with tea early in the morning. It truly felt like a safe home under the care of Abdul. We had to leave early in the morning a few times and he made sure we had an early breakfast ready for us. Abdul even helped us find some great souvenirs in the souks at affordable prizes. The location is perfect, and Abdul made sure on our first day to direct us so we wouldn’t get lost. We loved our room. It was beautiful and spacious, though be ready for the light to be dimmed. 5/5, would go again!
