I stay at Castelo Branco a couple of times a year. The rooms are very large and comfortable and they have reliable internet and air conditioning. The grounds are lovely and there's a restaurant on the premises, which is convenient for busy business trips. I've run out of things (toilet paper, soap) a few times and it's taken longer than I felt it should to get a response when I've asked for them to be replenished, but the cleaning and restaurant staff are very nice. I'd recommend this place.

Lousy internet. Lousy breakfast. Rooms well-designed but not kept up (light bulbs burnt out). Good chef in main restaurant. Hall lighting is poor.

I had a quick business trip to Chimoio and selected the Hotel because I had hoped to accomplish some work. On arrival the internet was not working and then when I was finally able to connect it was very slow. The rooms also do not have adequate outlets and when I asked reception for help with a plug adapter the attendant opened a drawer - looked in it - and shrugged his shoulders and said he did not have one. Not the best customer service!

I visited with my family (wife and 3 children) for 2 nights in January, 2019. The hotel is clean, with comfortable beds, a nice pool and functional internet. The place seems better set up for business travelers than families with children, as they have a strict 'no more than 2 people in a room' policy. The hotel was unable to provide an extra bed for my children, and initially were going to charge me for a third room to accommodate the third child. Other than that, it was a nice stay.
