We stay in Royal Hintar every year when we go to Mawlamyine. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and provide all the amenities you need. The breakfast buffet is great with big variety of items to choose from. We only had good experiences in this hotel.

nice roof top restaurant and bar Pool a decent size but only downside is can't be used between 7am and 10am and 4pm to 7pm due to swimming lessons (opens at 6am and shuts at 8pm.

Positives: as always in Myanmar, staff are lovely. Small gym, small pool and some nice food. Issues: a fairly new hotel that is not being maintained. Rooms are scruffy, carpets dirty, bathroom not cleaned properly. Needs more attention. AC kept switching itself off.

Great staff, very friendly, good location, I think the management needs sharpening up a little, this must be the only hotel in the tropics which has run out of both gin and tonic and failed to replace it in 24 hours!

Very comfortable bed, clean rooms, cold aircon. Strategic location; central.

Everything at the Hotel Royal Hintar was excellent and as advertised. The staff in all sections were very helpful knowledgeable and very happy. We really enjoyed our stay , and would definitely stay here again Valentine Kao

Hotel excentré, chambre dont la fenêtre donne sur un mur, et soirées bruyantes du fait de réceptions. Heureusement, le personnel est très chaleureux et la piscine très agréable.

Et høyst ordinært hotell. Personalet var svært hjelpsomme, men hadde dårlige engelskkunnskaper. Vedlikeholdsarbeid foregikk om natten. Nattvakten ble kontaktet og det roet seg. Frokosten var alminnelig bra.

This is a really lovely hotel. The staff were really nice. I had emailed them before we arrived asking if we would be able to book a car and driver for a day. When we checked it, we were informed that the driver had been booked. They also helped us with booking bus tickets. Our only problem was with the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of white wine, but they gave us a bottle of red wine and served it in an ice bucket. We only realised it was red after it had been opened. They then informed us that they had no white wine. They should have informed us this when we ordered as we did not want red. They clearly had no idea how to serve wine (red wine in an ice bucket?!). They also didn't know what a gin and tonic was, so this had to be explained. But other than this, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

The hotel is very new with great gym and swimming pool. The room and bathroom are excellent in size, bed, WiFi, etc. The checkin staff is very good. For the restaurant they are friendly but need training in details and have a poor English. The relationship quality/price is very positive. The only big weakness is the breakfast for this 4 stars hotel. In any case we would come back.

Room good size with a great bathroom. Pool area excellent. Meals & drink, delicious & well priced. But the service to get anything whether it be food or check out is extremely slow. Unless it is beer! Twice over a 3 night stay, my choice of food was unavailable! Upon check out they kept us waiting over 30 mins as they couldn’t locate our prepaid Wotif reservation & wanted us to pay again! Just made our train! They need improvement in a few areas but overall a great place to stay!

Really nice hotel, super friendly & helpful staff, one waiter took us around after his shift. Amazing. also very comfortable rooms.

Helpful and accommodating staff made our stay in Mawlamyine exceptional
