I had paid the room price on the Hotels.com website, and only had to pay city tax at the hotel. When I checked-in, however, I was charged the room price on top of the city tax. I noticed that soon. So, I asked them about this right after the check-in, during my stay, and when I checked-out. They just said "this is correct", "the right amount will be charged after my check-out", and something like that. I asked them to give me an invoice at least. They couldn't print it out due to their computer problem. I left my email address and asked them to email the invoice. (FYI: They said my hand-written email address "very clear".) After coming back to my home, I checked my email. Still no invoice. And the room price was still double-charged. I asked about this via Hotels.com message, twice. No response. I called to the phone number on Hotels.com. They asked me to call later. I called them again. They asked me to "email" the double-charge issue. At least, they finally emailed me the invoice. I sent an inquiry via email with my invoices from Hotels.com and from the hotel — no response for a week. I sent a reminder — no response for a month (ok, I was a bit busy too). I sent a reminder, again. They finally admit that they have double-charged!! I ask them to proceed with the refund. ... no response for 3 days now (not refunded yet). I usually don't write bad reviews. I even hesitated to write this even after no refund/no reply, but this is frankly the worst experience.

Not sure why Expedia name is holiday inn the nui, no where in hotel holiday inn mentioned, it’s just the nui, very limited connectivity with main city area, not much amenities in room

Loved it. Great hotel and staff. 15 mins bike ride to main centraal station. Not much around but everything was perfect

Communication and all staff very helpful

This is a beautiful hotel. I knew we couldn't go bad by picking a Holiday Inn, after seeing all the other options in Amsterdam. We were greeted by nice receptionists that spoke pretty fluently in English which was a huge bonus after our week in Germany. The rooms are large and clean, the bathrooms are a good size as well with rainfall showers. Huge shout out to Niki for his help and knowledge, and the lady behind the bar for her waitress skills (we got dinner there as well). If I had to pick a downfall of staying here, it'd be location. You're walking for at least 25 mins one way to get to something in the town. Not a whole lot next to the hotel yet. There are welcome books at the hotel though which have coupons!! We booked a harbor view room which gave a beautiful wrap around view if the city.

Property fun and funky to the eye! Unfortunately the maids cleaning the rooms started very early from 8 which caused a high pitch noise every day. We asked them to stop but it kept continuing. It was disappointing that there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and if you wanted a coffee you had to go down stairs

Although Hotels.com cancelled my reservation from the hotel instead of showing me as a no-show for late check-in, hotel staff was extremely helpful for finding a solution at the spot. I might not have a place to stay if it wasn't for their incredible kindness to offer me one of the available rooms. I'm terribly sorry that I forgot her name but If i remember correctly Mariana(The hotel manager) is one of the nicest people you can find around Amsterdam. Thanks to her and other crew members for their kindness and helpfullness. In addition you can rent a bike from the hotel also, so that was a great plus for me. Once again thanks to everyone who made me feel welcomed

We had a good hotel room. A lot of people had trouble with the check in because of payment. The tv didn’t really work with connecting by the phone

The location of the hotel is so safe to the point that you wont be scared to walk at night.

Super Vriendelijk personeel met het inchecken. Mooie schone kamers, makkelijk parkeren.

Wonderful place to stay, easy to get to Amsterdam Central once you’ve sorted a travel card NICKI was very helpful in getting us checked in and helping us with the best things to do in Amsterdam. Would highly recommend staying here if you don’t mind a little commute to Amsterdam Central Starion

Experiência incrível e o atendimento foi nota 10. Nos deram upgrade pelo aniversário de casamento mas o aquecimento não estava funcionando bem, porém, não atrapalhou nossa ótima experiência.

The beds are terrible. I booked it for a queen bed, but they gave me two single beds with a single mattress on top.

único hotel que fiquei na europa que não tinha nem cafeteira nem chaleira no quarto. uma vergonha ainda mais no inverno.

Goed hotel met prima personeel. Mooie kamer, met schone goedwerkende spullen. Alleen de ligging vonden we iets minder.
