Stunning location and building with a lot of heritage

Vi såg framemot att få bo i slottskänsla. Hotellet såg verkligen ut som ett slott. Men vårt rum låg två våningar ner i ett tillbyggt annnex. Det var vindlande korridorer så vi gick fel många gånger innan vi hittade. Dåligt skyltat till rummen. Men rummet var fantastiskt med en härlig säng. Frukosten var toppen med det mesta man kan önska sig. Saknade dock riktigt grovt fullkornsbröd.

Sehr schönes altes Herrenhaus in einem sehr guten Zustand. Grandiose Lage vor den Dünen, tolles Restaurant.

It was beautiful and highly recommended. Don’t expect to get to anything nearby quickly. But it is amazing.

beautiful property in a classic mansion. Well kept. Surroundings were in a park like setting with a lake. Staff were polite and excellent. very helpful.

Fantastisch mooie plek! De wellness is een heerlijke extra (let op, wel badkleding meenemen!). Restaurant viel ons erg tegen. Naderhand nog steeds honger en niet echt lekker gegeten. De suite viel ons lichtelijk tegen. Had er iets meer van verwacht. Maar nog steeds het gebouw, de ambience en het personeel was super!

This is a truly lovely property and I would give it 5 stars but for one thing. There is no trash or refuse bin in the room, there is only a tiny one in the bathroom, and it is attached to the wall under the counter. It's too narrow to fit anything of substance into it and very difficult to reach. And if someone in your party is using the bathroom, then you are just out of luck. We tried asking the front desk for a bin for the room. It was a request they could not understand. After a great deal of explaining why we felt we needed another trash bin, she promised to bring up a bag for us to use. Ok, that would be fine.... but she did not keep her promise. We resorted to using the laundry bag from the armoire. This may seem like a simple thing, but in a hotel that is otherwise classy and costly, this should be an easy ask. But it was not possible for them to provide anything other than the tiny bin that was very difficult to open and insert anything large in. They don't provide hair conditioner, but I have learned by now not to expect this to be provided in Dutch hotels and bring my own. Other than this, the lobby is beautiful (but I never saw anyone relaxing there because the bar is downstairs) and the breakfast very nice.

Loved our stay here. Historic, great breakfast, easy access to the dunes.

What a wonderful place to stay , ground floor rooms off entrance hallway doubles as an impressive art gallery . Staff are great ( i was having trouble switching on my tv , probably my fault, but reception staff solved the issue a after i raised it with them ).:Double room with patio was high quality and the breakfast was a splendid banquet. A fine supper was enjoyed at the restaurant and i also found good places to eat lunch and dinner within walking dustance of hotel, check out forest surrounding hotel; special with wild deers therein. Bx

Everything was amazing

Schitterend hotel, met mooie details. Heerlijke sfeer en ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Het diner in het hotel is ook echt een aanrader. Het ontbijt was perfect. Genoeg keuze voor iedereen!

Ein tolles Hotel in einem Landhaus/Landschaftspark nach englischem Vorbild. Die Grünanlagen (Beete) könnten gepflegter sein. Sonst: super Frühstück, Möglichkeit auf der Terrasse mit Seeblick zu essen. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Heel fijn hotel, prima service. Ligt op een prachtige plek.

Unieke locatie, geweldig oud gebouw, mooie 6km route door natuur naar het strand.
