ヒルトン・レイク・タウポ

緊急時の対応が洗練されていない。現地スタッフとしてしっかりした対応を望みたい。新規提案も無く、顧客の判断を待っているだけでは一流とは言えない。

今回、予約していた部屋から到着時にスタッフの提案で最上階（4階）レイクビューにアップグレードし、洗濯機、乾燥機付きの広い部屋で大満足でした。 プールも温水でサウナ、ジムも有りホテル内で十分楽しめます。 朝食はBistro Lago でビュッフェを食べましたが、程良い量の盛り付けで清潔感が有ります。 ディナーもBistro Lagoで食べましたが、どれも大変満足の行く味でした。 特にラムステーキは最高に美味しいです。 立地環境は周りに何も無く飲食街まで車で5分位と歩いて行くにはチョット厳しいです。 個人的には、またタウポに行くなら泊まりたいホテルです。

タウポの街からすぐ近くの静かな場所にあるホテル

大都会のヒルトンに比べると田舎っぽいレトロな外観ですが、中身はピカピカ綺麗ないつものヒルトンです。プールの利用も快適で楽にでき、リゾート感満載です。食事は高めかな、と思いますが、昼食をたくさん食べてチェックインしたので、夕飯はレストランの隣のバーでつまみ程度に済ませました。パンの盛り合わせのようなものを頼んだのですが、値段の割にボリュームがありました。軽く済ませたい方にはバーのメニューをお勧めします。ホテルの隣に子供向けのレジャー施設が隣接していますが、施設としては別物なので、特に割引料金とかもなく普通にお金を払って利用するようです。うちの子供はホテルのプールで満足したようで、そちらの本格的なレジャープールは利用しませんでした。ホテル入り口に大きなトランポリンがあって一瞬やったー、と思ったのですが、そのトランポリンも隣の施設のものでした。街からは少し距離がありますが、車があれば十分街まで近いといえます。

部屋がきれいで概ね快適でした。部屋に入るまでに何度かカードキーを通さなければならず、少し面倒でした。

Great location coupled with comfort and service

The housekeeping staff text daily to make sure you were happy with everything and if you needed anything extra. They did a wonderful job of keeping our apartment clean during our 3 night stay. The only negative was the wear and tear in the carpets, we felt they needed to be replaced in some areas.

We booked a lake facing superior room, with a balcony. We had a ground room and the view was covered by the hotel bushes and trees, we couldnt see the lake. The door had the rubber guard half peeled off the outside door, there was animal urine on our balcony. We found a necklace in the bathroom, there was black mold in the bathroom shower and the ceiling paint was peeling. Superficial things like scuff marks on the walls and chunks of plaster from the walls. HOWEVER, The duty manager was great and very understanding, she listened to my concerns and i NEVER complain. She had the cleaning crew come within 15 mins, they fixed the issued inside the room, they didnt have cleaning equipment for the urine outside so that was left as it was. The duty manager advised me she couldnt refund as i booked 3rd party but made accommodations where she could which i definitely appreciated. Whilst this was not a pleasant stay i appreciate the duty managers efforts to try to turn it around for us given we stayed 1 night.

Car parking is a lottery - it is worth paying extra for undercover if you can't get it

The quality of the food was Not good!

Hotel is not located close to the water; picture of hotel does not match reality; room nice, spacious but bathroom moldy. Was supposed to have pool view; room located far from pool. Not enough chairs for guests around the pool. Bus tour group shows up (50) there maybe 15 chairs around pool. Like: staff was friendly and attentive, breakfast was nice and staff great

Very nice property- on a hill in quiet area of Taupō. Beds were very comfortable. Room has nice terrace and table-pool and sauna area were nice.

We were upgraded to a junior suite, but the room decor significantly lacked character. Lots of empty-waisted space made the room seem bare and uncared. Facilities and the rest of the hotel looked very nice

Good location. Upgraded our room on arrival which was a pleasant surprise.

Room size is good,pool is nice,breakfast not bad.

Info option on TV did not work, so hotel missed out on room orders. Checkout staff could be a bit friendlier.

Overall a lovely place to stay but not without some issues. We booked a junior suite which was very spacious but had a small bathroom which was a bit disappointing compared to the size of the other spaces. There is a great text service which goes straight to reception and they get back immediately and answered our questions or brought us what we needed. Fridge is a good size and both kettle and coffee machine with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and fresh milk sachets in fridge. Sadly our TV did not work properly and we could not access the guest info but reception sent through the room service menu to our room instead. Breakfast is good and has lots of choice, plus you could also order off a menu. The wait is quite long for this service but delicious once it arrived. We stayed for 3 nights and every morning at 9.59am we were reminded that breakfast was finishing and we all felt they were trying to rush us out even though they only brought our ordered food at 9.50am one morning having waited 25 mins. They ran out of English Breakfast tea in the restaurant and the next morning said they still did not have any as the delivery was later that day, poor planning. The pool and spa pool are wonderful. Excellent for both adults and children. Very well kept and clean, lots of staff around tending to the garden and all very friendly. Room service was excellent but sadly the restaurant was not. Very long wait and overall food looks good but was quite bland. Nice hotel but not 5 star!
