The views were amazing , staff were very friendly

Had a good time, there was an old biscuit that was under one of the beds and there was ants and a blow fly but the service and food was great I really enjoyed my getaway the workers were very nice and Im definitely coming back again

We stayed in one of the cabins, was very private although the unit smelt very musty during our 2-night stay. There are no lights (bulbs have been taken out) on the driveway, so very dark walking from restaurant back to our cabin in the evening, could easily have walked over the bank as you cannot see anything

It was a lovely place to stay where your surrounded by nature and peacefulness. I loved the food at the restaurant and recommend the eye fillet and the secrets of citrus for dessert!

The view is amazing and the amenities on site meant that you could relax.

The rooms and property are run down. Room had torn curtains, holes in the ceiling, and stained bath towels. My room was above the restaurant and could hear constant loud noise of them cleaning the kitchen until almost 2am. Staff was excellent however

This is an older hotel that's absolutely full of character and should be enjoyed for what it is. We totally loved our stay there and will definitely be back. It's in a stunning location, the staff are all super friendly, it has a great restaurant overlooking Auckland, and the rooms are comfortable. It's not perfect and that's part of its charm, but it is unique and fun.

Fantastic situation in the rain forest. Great walks on the doorstep. Pool, sauna & gym Good. Highly recommended.

We had the villa for one night and wish to stay there much longer. The location is very quiet, nice view towards Auckland. We can definitely recommend the accommodation.

Fantastic ridge top location,great views of Auckland. Dining room had amazing breakfasts and excellent dinners. Wine selection wasok, but could use more NZ wines on the list. Our room-with-a-view was excellent. Would stay here again without hesitation.

An honest review with photos for proof! This place should be shut down as it is so unhygienic. They portray it as “4-star” resort and we had “deluxe” room which according to the receptionist was their best room. But it was a nightmare. Extremely dirty, mould on carpet, curtains and walls. Uncleaned bathroom drawers with hair and stuff! And worst of all a terrible smell from kitchen exhaust which came right through the gaps in the door. We complained but the receptionist said he is fully aware of the problem but nothing much can be done and he said it is what it is!!! We had fully paid accommodation for 3 nights but we checked out after 1 painful night. We have reached out to manager and even general manager but no response yet! It is unbelievable that this place has such a high rating on hotels.com. Feels like a scam.

Nous avons apprecie le sejour en pleine nature . Nous avons opter pour le diner au restaurant : excellent ! Par contre les rideaux usés et le freezer du refigerateur totalement rempli de glace pour ce type d'etablissement c'est moyen .

The Lamb Kebabs were tough and unappetizing. More like small Hamburger fillers.
