The Bambuda Lodge is a great place to stay and relax. It says Hostel but it is much more than that. You can book your private rooms and still enjoy the community. They offer a family dinner with different dishes to choose from every day and you easily get to know other travelers. There is regular activities planned. We especially enjoyed the Jungle Trail with our guide Samuel. He led us through the muddy jungle - a fun experience. All of the staff is super friendly and we would definitely come back again to Bambuda Lodge. Thanks for the lovely stay and atmosphere. PS: there is some construction going on because they are upgrading the building but it was not annoying oder disturbing at all.

Sehr liebevoll gemacht, sehr ruhige Vibes und soziale Atmosphäre! Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr gut, wenn auch nicht günstig. Eigene Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten wie eine Küche oder zu Fuß losgehen gibt es nicht.

What an amazing experience. It’s always the people that stand out above all else. Loved getting to know the staff and guest. There is no equal in Bocas del Toro. Great accommodations in cabin for one. Food was a work of art and delicious. Fun games, activities. Loved the sloth in the trees, red frog on the walking path in the jungle hike. 10 out of 10.

Jättebra hotell/hostel. Trevlig stämning bland gäster, sociala aktiviteter och fantastisk personal. Jag bodde i ett privat rum, bungalows som ger lite mer privat känsla. Den enda anledningen till att jag gav en fyra när det kommer till renlighet var för att det var lite fläckar på handdukar och lakan, men allt är rent, men man kanske behöver dubbelkolla att allt är fläckfritt innan man placerar dem i rummet. Men allt som allt, en fantastisk upplevelse!

Such a beautiful hostel! The location is impossible to beat and the staff is truly amazing ! Their customer service was on point!! Will definitely return!

We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in Bambuda Lodge. Vooral het super vriendelijke personeel en de service die ze verlenen zijn top. Ze zijn heel persoonlijk en kennen je bij je voornaam. Het eten en drinken was ook heerlijk en Instagramwaardig 😊 De kamervoorzieningen zijn basic, maar de plek is prachtig. Beslist een aanrader!

Sehr zu empfehlen. Ruhige Lage, läd sehr zum entspannen ein. Absoluter Geheimtipp. Besonders die Volunteers und das Personal war sehr motiviert. Ab Tag 1 wusste jeder unsere Namen, jeder hat jede Frage beantworten können und uns immer geholfen. Programmpunkte (Wanderung, Song Trivia, etc) waren sehr gut.

Un séjour formidable. L’emplacement et le cadre sont idéals, entre mer et jungle et à seulement 5 minutes en bateau taxi de l’île principale. Les dortoirs et autres espaces de vie sont propres. La grande terrasse est conviviale. Le staff du Bambuda est particulièrement sympathique et attentionné. Un merci en particulier à tous les volontaires (et plus encore à Hugo et Helwan) qui rendent ce séjour encore plus agréable qu’il ne l’est déjà, notamment par l’organisation d’activités, etc.

I had an incredible stay at the Bambuda Lodge, where the hospitality of the staff truly made my experience unforgettable. The team goes above and beyond to ensure guests have the best possible time. The food was delicious, the rooms were comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The lodge’s location in Bocas is ideal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area with quick taxi rides. The daily jungle hike is a highlight, offering a chance to immerse yourself in the island’s natural beauty, with a stunning finish at Hospital Point Beach. A huge thank you to the amazing staff—Tiago, Austin, Camila, Melanie, Johani, Shay, Sarlia, Juan, Nundo, Dany, Pedro, Marlen, Mariliz, Maynor, and everyone else—who made my stay so special!

Wow!!!!! Just wow!!!! This trip was such an amazing experience from the minute I walked in. I was dropped off with the taxi boat and came off to a beautiful piece of paradise!! I was welcomed with smiles and such kindness. I came on this trip alone but met such beautiful people and was never a dull moment. Andrea, Shari,Silvia,Juan, Joanni , maynor we’re so attentive and made me feel at home on this trip. They made sure we were all having a good time. They created such a beautiful environment here where I felt we were all just part of the same community. I loved the family dinners they coordinated that brought people together with great conversation, good food and fun games. We drank and laughed the night away. The only down side was no Ac but a jump in the pool and a cold beverage is just what you need. the night breeze and fan was just right to sleep comfortably. I was sad to go but will definitely be coming back. Thank you guys again can’t wait to see you again

Very beautiful and lively place with very friendly staff. Faby, Roy, Kate and Juan were amazing volunteers who are very friendly and welcoming. The food was always delicious and great quality.

Cool location in the lush jungle with walking paths and warm water! I only lost a little skin on the waterslide, but still so fun! The included hike to hospital point was surprisingly perfect. Nightime underwater glow worms were a trip! I didn’t book this room, but they put me in a sea urchin shaped upsides pool, it was cool. The second night I did get eaten alive by mosquitoes (from under the door and ceiling circle air vent wasn't a perfect closure. Fan was very needed, but still a bit hot one night in Oct, Food was okay, ceviche was the best I’ve had in Panama! All was healthy at least! What an adventure!

Nachhaltig, gutes Essen, freundlicher Service, gepflegte Anlage. Zimmer schön allerdings leider etwas muffiger Geruch der trotz lüften blieb. Kein Strand vorhanden.

Very nice Hostel in a beautiful spot. The staff is just great, very friendly, fun and helpful!! I'd definately recommend staying there. The atmosphere is very relaxing but the party spots are just a short boat-ride away.

Bambuda is a wonderful place and highly recommended. We had an issue with La Loma Jungle Lodge chocolate tour and water taxi. The proprietors at Bumbuda where able to help resolve.

Charming, secluded, eco-friendly lodge on Isla Solarte. Overall, the stay was very enjoyable! The highlight of the property is the stunning, open bar and check-in/lounge area. The property offers a great mix of social, hostel dorms, and more isolated, solo/couple bungalows, with the ensuing social balance reflective of this. The bar offers incredible views of the water and mainland. Here is where you will find the hostel’s social dining areas, including the property’s family-style dinner offerings. The property itself is a series of structures and bungalows threaded across a wooden walkway in the middle of the jungle. My room, the bungalow located furthest away, is almost completely in the jungle. I would not at all hesitate to return to Bambuda. It offers good accommodation, trip-planning for activities on nearby islands, and thoughtfully-designed common areas. Staff was super friendly and helpful with service and requests. I really enjoyed their friendly and hospitable disposition. Some downsides are that the limited access and meal options on the island can be trying, but should be known or otherwise understood before arriving to the hostel. Nevertheless, this is a most compelling option for those visiting Bocas!
