We had a one night stay here, and Wilson looked after us very well and spoke perfect English!

I felt right at home at Poseidon House! I appreciated the ride from the airport tremendously, especially after dark. Thank you for an excellent stay with a comfortable bed! Also appreciated the ride arranged at my departure!

Wilson and his wife are kind and gracious hosts who truly care about their guests and their community. I needed to get cash from the ATM and Wilson didn’t hesitate to take me. They offer transport to and from the airport and offer laundry service for a fee. They accommodate an Ayuhuasca diet if you let them know in advance. This is my go-to hotel when I visit Iquitos! Highly recommend!

Well maintained property. Wonderful host/owner. Wilson helped us with our arrival, dinner and early transportation to the airport. Couldn’t have asked better service, genuine friendliness and hospitality, at even the finest of resorts or hotels. Bravo!

Appeared closed snd could not get in. It's on a dark street outside airport. Don't be fooled by it's prior reviews, which may be wonderful if you arrive before some time when they close?

The property was extremely close to the airport (less than a five minute drive). The owner was friendly and made sure I was comfortable. The property is also closely located to the shopping center and restaurants.

This little hotel is a treasure! I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Tucked away from the busy street noise, was this private oasis complete with several beautiful gardens to walk through and a gorgeous private pool! Everything was so private!!!! The rooms are air conditioned and adjustable to controls. The staff went out of its way to ensure your needs were met. The morning homestyle breakfast was perfect and delicious. I would definitely stay there again.

My stay at Poseidon Guest House was exactly what I was looking for after a long and tiring journey to Iquitos from the UK. Wilson and his wife are amazing hosts; kind, friendly and very attentive to their guests' needs. Thoroughly recommend staying with Poseidon. Thank you so much.

This is a guest house so you are in a room in a big house, one of our windows was to a hallway that people walked by. For the area it is probably a great place but in general it’s just a bedroom. We didn’t have any hot water, the bed isn’t very comfortable. The check in was weird because they want you to pay before you get there and they repeatedly text you until you do it threatening to cancel your reservation, they should just say no cancelation through Expedia and leave it at that. The ride from the airport was nice and it’s close. We had the place to ourselves and would have taken advantage of the pool but we were to tired. Breakfast was descent with good conversation with the host, instant coffee was a bummer.

The host was exceptional and went out of his was for accommodate for us. He speaks English well, arranged our rides for us and was a wealth of knowledge for things to do/see in the area. The room was spacious and clean. After spending a few days in the jungle we appreciated air conditioning and hot water which is a luxury for this area. You are just a stone throw away from the driveway to the airport.

The best thing by far is Wilson, the owner. He is a former Volvo executive who is fixing up the old property as a retirement project. His English is excellent and he became a true friend who helped us get on our feet in Iquitos. He called me in the US from Iquitos to correct a illogical booking date mistake I had made. While the renovation project was still a work in progress in the 2019 summer, the air conditioned rooms where clean and comfortable. Don't let the industrial street view scare you off. With its lovely pool court, this will be a gem when the renovation is complete. The homemade breakfast was convenient and tasty. The location, just a few minutes from the airport, was super-convenient while the constant stream of the hundreds of motor-taxis made for an easy and cheap adventure to get to the city center.
