Beautiful high floor apartment, comfy bed, kitchenette, good linen, great view, spacious bathroom. Everything we needed for a short stay. We were 'upgraded' to prestige on arrival, which was fine - i dont usually like staying in hotel blocks but it was out of season and quiet so was great. I had originally booked an apartment. Pools we didn't use but would have done if it had been rainy, we were lucky with the December weather! All the staff were warm and friendly, we had lunch in the cafeteria on arrival and enjoyed it very much. Would recommend, would stay again.

Great grounds. Many pools. Great beach access.

We were given a large room clean , great kitchen with everything we needed to cook , pool view , lovely surroundings, tv with english channels.only down point the room was quite cold at night

Desde o check-in ao check-out a equipe foi muito simpatica, atenciosa e competente. O apartamento que ficamos foi um T2 amplo com uma excelente sala/cozinha e varanda. as portas dos quartos e armários são antigas, algumas chegam a emperrar, mas nada sério. O sistema de ar condicionado não estava funcionando, mas a equipe foi muito competente e resolveu o problema rapidamente. O espaço geral é maravilhoso com muitas opções de lazer. Várias piscinas, aquecidas e não aquecidas, quadras de esportes, restaurantes e acesso à praia. Pretendemos voltar em breve.

Great overall organisation at the hotel, with courteous staff, good location and amenities

Excellent spacious apartment, fantastic friendly staff and a jam packed kids entertainment schedule despite it being end of season. Would totally recommend as a half term sun escape. Weather was mixed but pools still manageable and indoor heated pools as an option.

Our room was perfect and we had a view of the ocean. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer trip!!

Kurzer Weg an den tollen Strand Pools haben wir nicht genutzt, wir waren ja am besten Pool der Welt Leider sind nur die Apartments mit Meerblick wirklich ruhig, die Gartenblick haben die Straße vor der Nase und da ist immer etwas los(parkende Autos, Müllabfuhr etc....) Außerdem gluckert der Pool die ganze Nacht

We had an amazing stay at Alfagar Village, the facilities for families were excellent, and the ability to check in early and late was very much appreciated. The golf buggies to transport us and our luggage around the site was great too, as were the beautifully maintained grounds. Keep up the good work!

Plenty of Cockroaches and the staff are indifferent and find it normal. Cockroaches also in the cutlery drawers and in the fridge! They also weirdly charge you for pool towels and then charge you to change the towel too. They are expecting guests to continue using dirty towels when hygiene should be of utmost important! At such high prices per night in addition to the cockroaches the rooms were more like a cheap airbnb, very dated and the wardrobes are probably 20years old and look like the doors or drawers will fall off anytime. We reported around 40 cockroaches in the living room on the first night but they couldn’t guarantee there won’t be cockroaches if we changed rooms. That’s ridiculous for the price! We have been to the Algarve atleast 9 times in July and this is the first time we stayed at this resort, it was a massive mistake. The resort itself is fine with a good pool but all sun beds are reserved with no one on them for nearly 4 hours. We didn’t eat at the resort as it seems unhygienic and probably cockroaches in the kitchens too. Speaking to other guests at the resort we were told the restaurant food is very low standard. There are definitely cheaper and better resorts around and as we travel as a family globally few times a year, this resort is at the bottom of the list. We did read others reporting cockroaches in their reviews but we thought it would have been sorted by now but it hasn’t been sorted.

Very noisy hard trying to sleep , entertainment goes on till 12 pm and can hear in apartments - loads to do there and good area - great for family's - kids won’t get bored

Brilliant family resort

Our room was run down.

The view from our terrace was amazing and worth the stay. The rooms were a good size and had ever hung we needed. The check in was easy and the digital bracelets instead of keys was a bonus.

We had yet another great stay at Alfagar. Service at the food outlets were slower this time. Seems shirt staffed at the pool bars. They were disorganised at the bunganville. We addressed this with management and they appeared to have taken action.
