We had a wonderful time here and can’t wait to go back! We spent 5 days here as part of our honeymoon and loved it. We spent our mornings out on tours and the hotel packed lunches for us to take with, and our afternoon by the pool sipping sangria. Can’t go wrong with that! It’s a very small resort but it made it that much better - laid back, quiet, good selection of food options for me that were gluten free, and friendly staff

Ocean view is amazing, lots todo and tour around. Sunset was beautiful. Overall amazing stay!

Unfortunately, we had issues during our stay in this hotel. 1st day we had cockroaches in the bathroom and the bedroom. The guy in the front desk was very helpful, he transfered us to another room. Then, they said that room was booked and they moved us to another room on the next day. We moved to that other room. However, we had cockroaches too. And, then we saw a Geckos on the curtain of the bedroom. The hotel is beautiful and the stuff are very friendly and welcoming and the entertainment team were great but such a hotel should be very clean specially inside the rooms. Cockroaches and Geckos can't be inside the bedrooms. That is too bad.

Hotel muito bom, boa estrutura. Excelente café da manha, o buffet de jantar é bom, mas podia ser melhor... A estadia da direito a duas noites de jantar a la carte, mas nem todos os pratos estão disponíveis, devendo o hóspede pagar a diferença... Seria melhor se fosse só uma noite com tudo incluído. Mas no geral o hotel é muito bom e vale a estadia!!!

Staff good and welcoming

The ocean was visible from our room and the area was lovely!! Completely recommend it!!

Very friendly staff, excellent room with great beach view. It was also very clean. Nice kid's pool if you have childreen. I would book again for sure.

Freundliches Personal. Einrichtung ist toll, es gibt einen Ping-Pong Tisch, Tischfussball sowie einen Billard. Das Zimmer wurde jedoch nicht immer sauber gereinigt. Viele Auswahlmöglichkeiten beim essen.

GREAT

The front facing staff were, with one exception, very friendly and helpful. We had adjoining rooms and in both of the bathrooms the paint was peeling off in parts, the shower pressure could have been better as could the quality of towels. The bedroom areas were both nice after benefitting from some upgrading work, although the house keeping could improve. The supply of food was very generous but a little repetitive, one of the a la carte choices was first class, and for us, the drinks were good. On the whole, we had a very relaxing stay which I would rate as average, nothing awful but nothing amazing either. There is obviously a programme of improvements underway with the property and once completed this will enhance the overall experience of guests.

This property was beautiful and the food was amazing. The staff were very friendly and there were activities scheduled daily to keep the resort guests engaged and having fun.

An average 3 star hotel even though they like to think they are more. I expected more from a Savoy hotel. Staff was very miserable and acted like they hated working there. The food was mediocre. So was the entertainment. Overpriced for what it offers

Passei o aniversário da minha mulher, adoramos os dois dias que passamos. Os rapazes do bar por do Sol, especialmente os dois mais novinhos e incluindo o chefe, foram atenciosos e bem profissionais. O serviço no restaurante fica um pouco a desejar, nota-se logo o desnível do bar para o restaurante. Contudo, no geral foi bastante bom e tamos a pensar em voltar.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the third single childs bed and they went out of their way to help sort this out for us. Even got a brand new single mattress! The resort entertainers were enthusiastic and always smiling. Would definitely recommend to families as all is made easy for you.

The speciality restaurant was great and staff very helpful

Needs an update, especially the bathroom tiles.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was pretty good (didn't like the themed night buffets, like mexican food served in Portugal). Also the Reservation restaurant is nice, but their menu as inclusive food, and anything outside of that you have to pay (didn't like that we were not notified of this beforehand). Rooms were nice and AC works very well ! Although the beds were super hard ( I weight 248 lbs and could feel the bed springs in my hips and torso side). All in all, i give it 4 out 5 stars !

We arrived late in the evening after our transfer from the airport. The resort had arranged the transfer for us and the driver was waiting at arrivals for the 8 of us in our group. He was great and gave us a bit of a tour on the way to Calheta. Our reception at the resort went well and the woman on duty made sure we got down to the buffet before it closed. She was very friendly and attentive to our needs after a long day of travel. Our rooms were modern and clean and cleaned and tidied well each day by the cleaning staff, The buffet was great with a large selection of food items. Drinks at the bar were served quickly and were good. The "drink of the day" by the pool was excellent on the 2 days we had them. The resort is in a beautiful location, nestled below a cliff. There is a public beach next to the resort which has great sand and water access. Evening entertainment was fairly low key but pleasant as we enjoyed the evening by the pool while listening to a musician or watching the dancers. We had no complaints about the staff at the resort. They were friendly and did their job well. All in all I would recommend staying at this all inclusive Calheta Beach Hotel on the beautiful island of Madeira.
