Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en doet alles om de klant te dienen.

Muy bien ubicado para turismo cultural y vinícola. Todo muy bien y personal muy amable, servicial y atentos. Por poner un pero: cenamos y tardaron mucho en traer el plato. En el desayuno llegamos a más de las 9 y ya faltaban muchas cosas q no repusieron, aunque el personal nos preguntó en todo momento por nuestras necesidades y nos las solventaron. A pesar de eso, creo q deberían haber repuesto algo de lo agotado.

The Chef went above and beyond coming to our table to explain how he created his dishes. The food was excellent. The front desk manager took time to come to our car and help us figure out how to pay the parking since it was all in Portuguese. Saved us!

Hotel Spa super mimoso, limpo, organizado e com um serviço de qualidade única!

Unique was being attached to castle wall. Very difficult to find and steep uphill to unload/load luggage. Also, no parking.

Great hotel in great location.

Stayed at the Douro Castle Signature Hotel for 4 great nights. The Hotel is a lovely small boutique type style Hotel, right on the Castle wall and in the centre of Lamego. Very walkable to all sights and restaurants, bars and shops!! Lamego is right in the middle of the Douro and snnidesl base to see Pinhao, Peso de Ragua and others. There are over 45 Quintas within 15 miles of Lamego. River cruises from 1 hour to 1 / 3 and 5 / 7 days. Only 80 mins from Porto and very close to many other places. The breakfast , restaurant, service and staff, pool and bar lounge are superb for a small Hotel, excellent value!!

I've posted elsewhere that we stayed at wonderful hotels in Portugal. The "stories" were about reaching them and trying to park at them. The Douro Castelo experience was our worst! We used GPS to find the hotel. Made the mistake of making the last turn! The hotel was only feet from the last intersection. [A red "carpet" reached from the door to the intersection, but we missed it.] We drove past the entrance on a gradually narrowing street. Narrowing more! Pulled in mirrors. Scraped the car on a house [with only inches of clearance on the driver's side.] Ultimately both cars returned to the lower center of Lamego and parked in lots. We transferred to the hotel by Uber. We enjoyed our stay--once we got there. But arriving was a trauma--and an expensive one at that.

The hotel is only 2 years old and it’s beautiful. The staff is great and bed is very comfortable. There is an indoor pool, big plus during winter travels like ours.

Un personal entregado al buen hacer

Hotel located in a nice town in Douro Valley. Rooms a little worn, but not bad, beds good, shower good. On site restaurant very good, included breakfast also good, staff fantastic. Only stayed one night would recommend minimum two nights when visiting the Douro Valley awesome area.

Beautiful hotel close to shopping, restaurants, and historical sights. Very comfortable with friendly staff. Will stay here again.

This is such a hidden gem. It is in a great location with very well trained and friendly staff. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in Portugal. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends.
