Our room was very clean and it was a good location.

Clean room, great location within the castle with an amazing view, friendly and helpful staff, awesome food in the restaurant. The hotel carries the history and cultural features of Portugal. Unforgettable experience!

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Dom Manual. This was in the most stunning locations I've ever seen. The couple running the hotel were beyond kind and lovely. Do not miss this stop.

A beautiful hotel in an amazing village. Breakfast was also great with pancakes and scrambled egg included plus the normal pastries, bread, yoghurt, cheese, meat and fruit! We managed to park right outside the hotel (4 spaces) but there is also a public car park in the same area. A walk around the walls and castle of Marvão is thoroughly recommended - marvellous 360 views!

It was absolutely fabulous. The drive up the mountain - breathtaking.

Great family run hotel. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable always happy to help and advise. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was a very relaxing and comfortable time away for us. We would highly recommend and definitely come back for another visit

Lovely boutique hotel within the walled hilltop town of Marvao. Special lamb dishes for Easter were delicious.

Marvao is spectacular and Dom Manuel is a lovely place from which to enjoy this special place.

This is a lovely small hotel to stay in the walled village. You can park right in front which is a huge plus. We booked a triple room and it was spacious. I think the others are on the small side. Everything was spotless! Comfy bed with soft sheets. Our room was cold and it turned out our heat didn't work, but there were balnkets in the closet and that did the trick. Had a bowl of the traditional tomato soup for dinner and it was hearty and delicious!

We stayed in a "Superior Double Room, Terrace, Mountain View". This was a cozy attic room, with modern windows w/shutters, a comfortable king bed, and a gentle/quiet heating system (needed in February). There was also a separate heat pump system, which we did not use. Nicely equipped room, quiet and comfortable. But the shower ran out of water (not just hot water, but all water) on our final morning, probably due to other guests on the lower floors(?). This is why our overall score is only 4/5, as otherwise the property would have deserved a rare 5/5 rating. Breakfasts were a good buffet, average for our stays across Portugal. Hot water, juice, and coffee provided, with espresso and cappuccino on request. The on-site restaurant was top-notch (!!) for dinners, with a great menu selection, excellent cooking/service, and good local wines. The Sea Bass was heavenly, and the other entrés we tried were also good enough to keep us from bothering with any other restaurants in the village. On-site parking was easy and right outside the front door. Staff were excellent in every role. We can highly recommend this establishment, despite the single problem with shower water on the final morning.

Hotel muito bem localizado logo à entrada. Tem parque de estacionamento. Quarto muito bom, pequeno mas muito confortável! Hotel com restaurante com boa comida. Comi uma carne no alguidar com migas e uma sopa de tomate deliciosas!!! Pequeno almoço também muito bom! Pessoal muito simpático e acessível! Gostamos muito!
