Art deco building. Shower soaked floor in room until I altered flow from shower. Very friendly staff.

Hotel was very welcoming on arrival , staff everywhere very pleasant and attentive , we have stayed there for the past 3 years for new year and was shocked when we were told €5 to park in the hotel per night

It was very central for the town of Funchal. The room had everything and the lady on reception was very very helpful and friendly. The cooked breakfast could have been warmer and the restaurant kept odd hours and didn't feel like it was part of the hotel. As you are in the heart of the town you have to expect noise at night from residents living nearby

Tive problemas com barulho quando ligava o ar condicionado. Não pude dormir com o barulho. Tinha que desligar o ar condicionado 3 horas antes para não ter barulho e dormir com calor

Great location, breakfast, and amazing staff!

The employees were very nice.

The facilities are very old. Bed is uncomfortable. There was the strangest persistent noise in my room. The noise from the streets was also annoying at night.

Location is good, parking was ok for 5 euros por day and clean

Friendly and helpful staff.

Reception was friendly and helpful with my questions certain times above and beyond. There was no issue with cleanliness.

Stuff is amazing but the property and furniture is pretty old. No minibar and no coffee in the room although there is a kettle. I called ahead to confirm my booking but when I arrived I was told the hotel was overbooked and I have to go to Garisol for two days. Well ok but I also booked yours to pick me up from Windsor so this added extra costs to my trip. When I arrived to original booked room I was pretty disappointed - the toilet was dirty and the bed linens very worn off with someone’s hair on it. I got like 20 nasty mosquito/fly bites overnight and when I asked for help the receptionist told me “you must have opened the window and let them in” which I didn’t do it wasn’t nice to hear but I was given a spray and a gel which helped at least, so I was thankful for that. The pool is nothing like the picture. Pretty and small for full hotel of people. All and all slightly traumatized from this trip since I was tossed around like a hot potato and ended up getting eaten by insect. Better spend more and get better hotel.

Canos entupidos

Der größte Pluspunkt ist definitiv die zentrale Lage. Alle Buslinien Funchals können in wenigen Gehminuten erreicht werden. Die direkte Umgebung ist angesichts der zentralen Lage relativ ruhig. Das Haus insgesamt ist aber recht hellhörig. Ausstattung ist solider Standard. In meinem Zimmer war der Kühlschrank ausgeschalten und abgesperrt. Bett ist ok (recht straffe Federung). Aircondition funktionierte problemlos. Badezimmer mit Bidet. Wasserdruck der Dusche ist einwandfrei. Frühstück gibt es erst ab 07:30 Uhr. Frühstückbuffet mit recht übersichtlicher Auswahl. Frühstücksraum ist ein fensterloser Raum im Erdgeschoß. Um 07:30 Uhr teilweise so enormer Andrang, dass wegen Überfüllung abgeschlossen werden musste. Das Hotel wird gerne von größeren Reisegruppen gebucht, da ist dann auch die kleine Lobby im Eingangsbereich schnell überfüllt. Pool auf der Dachterasse ist sehr klein, und die Bar nie geöffnet. Das habe ich aber als positiv empfunden, da dadurch der Gästeandrang sehr gering war und ich Spätnachmittags/Abends die vorhandenen Liegestühle fast für mich alleine hatte ;-)

Hôtel bien placé. Matelas inconfortable, j 'ai eu mal au dos dès la 1e nuit. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil de Sofia.

Super beliggenhed hvis man ønsker at bo centralt i Funchal. Service og herunder morgenmad elendig. Dårligste morgenmad vi nogensinde har fået på et hotel. Flere valgmuligheder på buffeten men kvaliteten af maden var under al kritik. Der blev i det hele taget ikke gjort meget for at hygge om gæsterne. Pool på taget med tilhørende bar. (Troede vi). Pool baren permanent lukket. Ikke mulighed for brug af pool efter kl. 1730, hvor selve tagterrassen også blev aflåst. Rengøring på værelset ok. Vi vil ikke benytte hotellet igen.
