Stunning vista in the middle of the Portuguese countryside, featuring an infinity pool, with lots of space. It is in a very remote area with no public services, facilities or buildings for miles. Beautiful oasis in the heart of the Alentejo countryside with a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the hills. Nice room, very cozy. Unpaved road leading to the resort which is manageable for the experienced driver. Much of the estate is still under construction. Fun hiking trail that was difficult to access. Property offers free use of their bikes, however all the tires need to be filled. Had an excellent meal a short drive away in Orique. Recommend this to adventure and nature lovers who want to feed the conquistador within.

Not sure where to begin, however this is now a special place to me and my partner. We visited 2 years ago - absolutely loved everything about it and during this visit I proposed to her here.
The place itself is like a small villa and the location is fairly remote, be aware the drive up to get to this property isn’t for the feint of heart… especially with a rental car. It definitely adds to the experience of being remote but take your time and it’s not too bad.
The room is spacious and the bathrooms are very nice. The showers have rainfall shower heads and there is a window right beside the shower - if you get lucky (rooms 5/6/7/8) they face west, so you can shower as the sun sets beside you. Each room is equipped with an air conditioning unit, so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. Beds are comfy, pillows are soft, nothing to worry about with comfort.
The pool and outdoor spaces are what makes this place unique. The infinity pool is amazing and there are plenty of loungers and umbrellas for all. The hike that you can go on is awesome, bring some water and you’ll be fine. It takes you to a very quiet and remote part of a river with the option to kayak/canoe (you have to ask and pay first though).
The staff during my stay were all very lovely but there was one in particular that went above and beyond. I forget his name (sorry!) however he was there the entire time we were there and was always smiling and ensured we had everything.

Great stay away. Beautiful landscape and enjoyable pool. Limited services for dinner (basic cooking utensils were available, but shopping is quite far so you should bring food supplies in advance). Beautiful place to watch stars and good internet service. Simple but high quality breakfast with local products. As with any other nature stay, recommend to bring insect repellent.

Great if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing place. Beautiful property with a pool. No restaurant on site but snacks and drinks are available. Also there are a few small towns near by with places to eat. Just a short stay to do some birding.

Ficámos nesta casa rural por apenas uma noite, chegamos depois de almoço para poder aproveitar a piscina mas todas as espreguiçadeiras com sombrinha estavam ‘reservadas ‘ com toalhas de pessoas que nem estavam ali. Tivemos de puxar duas espreguiçadeiras livres para o sol a torrar com 38 graus. Quando uma dessas pessoas resolveu aparecer lá perguntámos se podíamos puxar uma sombrinha para nós .
Depois começou a gritaria das crianças na piscina , e quis ler um livro e nem consegui . Tivemos de ir para o quarto, felizmente este era bem isolado e não se ouvia praticamente nada . Não conseguimos apanhar nenhum canal português no satélite , apenas havia os 4 normais .
Normalmente quando reservamos este tipo de estadias procuramos paz para recarregar baterias e infelizmente não conseguimos . Iremos ter em conta da próxima e marcar talvez em setembro.
A limpeza do quarto também não ficou a 100%, o copinho das escovas de dentes estava completamente sujo, o duche já tinha vestígios de bolor nos cantos, coisas talvez normais nas nossas casas mas 150€ por noite espera -se um pouco mais de brio.
A última coisa menos positiva é o horário de pequeno almoço , apenas das 9-11h. Acordámos as 7.30h e foi chato ter de ficar a aguardar até as 9h.
A oferta do pequeno almoço até é boa .
De resto adoramos o espaço , a tranquilidade envolvente da natureza e as ovelhinhas a rondarem la ao pé :)

We were delighted with our stay. The accommodation (which are small, cute houses) need a little improvements. But the location! I have to admit, this is the most authentic and peaceful place I've ever been to. It's the place of serenity with abundance of being close to the nature. Stunning views with opportunity for lots of outdoor activities!

Zeer gastvrije ontvangst, mooi appartement, goed zwembad, heerlijk ontbijt. Waanzinnig mooi uitzicht. Er is veel te zien en te doen voor mensen die houden van rust, ruimte en buitenactiviteiten. Hele mooie wandelingen gemaakt. Voor vragen en tips is de gastheer altijd bereikbaar.
Wij komen zeker terug!

Fantastic place for a beautiful stay near Castro da Cola. The view over the estate and the infinity pool are gorgeous. There is an amazing trail of 5km from the Monte, which is all signed and really worth doing. The breakfast is regional and very good. The rooms are lovely, very clean and comfortable. You can take a quick 15min drive to the nearest town called Ourique where You can find same nice views and food is also amazing. Absolutely worth a drive, we will definitely return to Monte do Alento.

A quinta tem um potencial enorme, esta ainda a ser melhorada. Mas sem duvida que vamos voltar :)
Localizacao muito silenciosa, vistas deslumbrantes, piscina muito bonita, quarto acolhedor. Atendimento excelente. O que faltava? Artigos de higiene no quarto, champô por exemplo. Não disponibiliza refeições para alem do pequeno almoço.
